Block U For those looking for something Ute tonight - The Skatin Utes are here in Seattle playing in the Pac 12 championship

We have to make due now that football is 7 months away. I was listening to Seattle sports radio today and they announced that Utah beat USC in overtime yesterday to play Washington in the championship tonight. I was doing some research on the web and it appears that Arizona and OSU are the only other PAC 12 schools that dont have hockey. In all honesty i had no clue we did either. Go Utes!

You can watch it on the web here

Block U Just got back from seeing Star Lotulelei receive the Morris Trophy

Had a great time today and due to the snow we have been getting here in Seattle there ended up only being a handful of people there. It was a great time and due to the small crowd I had a chance to talk to Star and on behalf of Ute fans thanked him again for coming back next year. Star is a class act and hopefully he is up here next year to receive the trophy again. Thanks to those that were able to come and show their support. It was pretty obvious that Star didn't expect any Utes to be there but was really glad that we came out.

I taped his portion of the presentation in case you wanted to see it.

Block U Seattle Area Ute Fans don't miss out on seeing Star Lotulelei receive the Morris Trophy!

As a member of the Seattle Area University of Utah Alumni Club http://ulink.utah.edu/s/1077/subgroup.aspx?sid=1077&gid=1&pgid=378 we were contacted by the WAC (Washington Athletic Club) here in Seattle to see if we could round up a Utah contingent to support Star when he is in town to accept the trophy.

The Morris Trophy Awards Ceremony http://morristrophy.com for the 2011 season will take place at the Washington Athletic Club in downtown Seattle on Thursday, January 19, 2012 at noon. Guest speaker at the event will be former two-time winner Dana Wells

Tickets are $40/person and include lunch. You pay at the door. The WAC is located at 1325 Sixth Avenue, Seattle, WA 98101. I believe parking is available at the WAC or you can also park down the street at Pacific Place Mall.

If you plan on attending just let me know in the comments below. I don't need any names or contact information because we only have to give them an approximate number so the Ute Alums are together.
