According to LEN at the Strib, Liriano stopped his rehab down in Ft. Myers because of continued elbow pain. http://www.startribune.com/509/story/764508.html

It looks as if he'll be meeting with a few surgeons in the near future to decide the best course of action. Whether it means exploratory arthroscopic surgery or Tommy John surgery, I don't think anyone knows yet. I am just hoping some real answers can be found. Personally, I don't buy the idea that rest and rehab can fix this problem. Something is going on inside that elbow that needs to be addressed. Liriano appears obviously frustrated, which is only compounded by not having a clear answer to what is going on with him. The 2007 season shouldn't be the biggest concern for this kid or the Twins because he can/will be a stud for years to come, but lets at least get a game plan for what is going to happen.

The Star Tribune is reporting that the Twins picked up Hunter's option for '07. http://www.startribune.com/509/story/733653.html
What is everyone's view on this? Do the Twins then come up with a long term deal over the winter that Hunter has asked for? If they do give him a 3-4 year deal, how long before Hunter needs to move to right/left field due to his decreasing range in center?

I just saw on ESPN insider (from a New York Post article) that Harold Reynolds was fired from Baseball Tonight and is no longer welcome in Bristol. No reason was given. Has anybody heard anything about him ruffling feathers with the big shots or any other reason he was fired? I thought he would have been a part of that team for the next 8 years as they re-newed their contract with MLB.
