The U.S. takes on Cuba in Game 10 of the Men's Preliminaries. Will Matt LaPorta continue to make us almost forget the unending horror show that is your 2008 Cleveland Indians?
We'll find out, if we ever get out of the top of the first inning in Beijing, where the skies look kind of blue and this huge bright thing in the heavens is casting shadows on the ground. And I am apparently still not at 75 words yet so here is another sentence.
Can Indians will their way to wins?

Jake Westbrook Pitches For Lake County Captains (5/18/08)
Headed over to Classic Park to see Jake pitch for Lake County this afternoon (a summary of the game can be read here). Sadly, we only got 3 innings and change from Westbrook as a 45-minute rain delay took him out of the proceedings down 2-1 to Lexington.
Unfortunately, some of the images of Jake on the mound came out a slight bit "artier" than I'd have preferred thanks to the tender mercies of shooting with auto-focus behind a curtain of netting, but hopefully there is enough material here to provide a few moments of visual diversion during your work day (or a desktop theme for those inclined).
