Google has released their 2010 Zeitgeist searching review, where they give us plebs a trickle of the vast amounts of data they collect. MMA isn't mentioned on the world page, but Canada seems to have quite a lot of searches for UFC events and mma related things, and UFC is the fifth fastest rising query in the US. The most interesting thing I found was, if you look at the US - Sports and then at the most searched athlete, the number one name is Chael Sonnen. It looks like his trash talking paid off; both with his obviously large popularity and in his appeal to the CSAC. The two are not entirely unrelated, I imagine.
