I really hope this hasn't been posted here before because this just made my day and I really wanted to share.

This 2 year old knows his stuff...we don't like the cowgirls, the viqueens are whinny babies and the Saints are number one! LOL

Bar Rescue visits Bourbon Street in New Orleans...

So I'm sitting here missing my team, and the weekly game threads and hanging out with my fellow who dats when I stumble across a show on SPIKE called "Bar Rescue". If you've never seen it, basically a bar that is failing and on the verge of shutting downs calls this guy Jeff Taffer & his team of experts in to turn the whole thing around and hopefully save their business.

The bar in need of rescue is called "Turtle Bay" and the owner use to be a partner in a more successful bar called "Tropical Isle". Apparently he is the one that came up with the to go drink called the "hand grenade" that people drink out of these weird looking green plastic cups. He had a falling out with his partners and was bought out, but then decided to open his new bar directly across the street and create an all too similar signature drink called the turtle in...you guessed it - a weird looking green plastic cup. LOL

The kitchen was disgusting, their gumbo came out of a plastic bag and was heated up in the microwave. It actually made the expert chef vomit. Needless to say, he made them clean the kitchen and taught them how to make gumbo from scratch. It looked really good. I even saw someone in the background with a Brees jersey on.

The complete overhaul resulted in the Turtle giving way to "Spirits on Bourbon" and the signature drink comes in a neon blue blinking skull cup and is called a "Resurrection". LOL - looks 1000 times better and I might actually want to find it on my "NOLA Totally Tourist Tour of 2013" (that's the official name of my trip. I just decided).

Just curious if anyone has ever heard of these places? Have you ever walked down Bourbon Street with the masses chugging a "hand grenade", a now defunct "turtle" or a "resurrection" ??

What can I say? The super bowl coverage and all the Mardi Gras stuff really made me want to visit New Orleans so I'm living vicariously - anyway I can until I get there. And I have absolutely nothing football /draft /free agency related to contribute.

It's going to be a brutally long off season...

Is anyone else having a problem with the main page crashing their browser? I know I have an old version of IE on this computer but it wasn't doing that until yesterday. I couldn't get in at all. Today the same thing was happening but I went on twitter, clicked on a link directly to the Angry Who Dat's post and I've been able to get around the site a little bit that way. But I have to make sure and avoid the home page or else I get the crashing thing. I also noticed on my phone, when I try to access the site, I get bounced right off. There is nothing I can do about my work pc - we are not allowed to do our own browser upgrades, but if anyone knows of something I can do to my phone - I will certainly try it. :(

Now I know many of you aren't big fans of Bleacher Report, however, I did check this story out and I think, even with my somewhat limited football expertise, Mr. Featured Columnist, might have a point. Or 5.

Larry Holder of the New Orleans Times-Picayune reported that Payton was given permission to attend Saturday’s enshrinement ceremony to see former Saints tackle Willie Roaf inducted. A league spokesman confirmed to PFT that Payton would also be allowed to attend a reception for Roaf, but could not have any contact with his team while in Ohio.

He'll have to call the special NFL suspension violation hotline within 24hrs if he accidently runs into someone in the hallway or something. Sigh...

A while back I posted about going to New Orleans for the whole Super Bowl / Mardi-Gras / French Quarter / food experience. I'm still hoping to work that out with a friend's timeshare, but actual Super Bowl game tickets will definitely be out of the question - seeing as I did not win the recent $650 Mega-Millions jackpot.

That has only made me even more determined to get to a Saints game in the DOME (!!!) during the regular season and I have no idea where I should try and get seats. So I put it to the season ticket holders and others who know the Dome like their own backyard:

If you could only go to one game this year - and your goal was to be as close to the action as possible - like, "Drew could read my sign" close - where would you try to get seats, and why? Where is that spot that I always see Drew signing autographs before heading into the locker room to put his gear on?

Oh and my budget is...$400 per ticket - maximum. Ok $500, but seriously - that's it. Anymore than that and I'll have to sleep in the rental car and nuke Ramen noodles at the 7-11. (Quick-Check, WaWa...whatever ya'll have down there!)

Terrified, actually. I've never been there, but I have heard nice things. It's just that I want to make my first trip, during the first week of February, 2013.

Mostly, I'm worried about being a jinx. I believed for almost the entire off season that I was the reason for the Seahawks playoff win. I was watching, without benefit of official "Saints" gear, and as hard as I tried to will them to win, well you all know what happened.

I'm not necessarily going to try and score Super Bowl game tickets (that would really be pushing it!), but I'm thinking, just being in NO ...around that time, maybe, it just might be the best vacation ever!! Experiencing Lombardi..um, I mean, Mardi Gras in person? I can't even imagine how cool it would be. A black and gold tailgate party? Yet another item off the bucket list.

So what should I do? Make some room reservations? What are some of you other out of state Saints fans planning?

In an article called "Thinking Outside the Box When It Comes To The Saints" - Brad Biggs at National Football Post suggested not promoting Spags or Carmichael due to the big jobs they already have in front of them in their respective coordinator positions.

I was just wondering what some of the more seasoned pros over here thought about his suggestion of having Bill Parcells as an Interim Heach Coach. Being a Jersey girl born and raised, I vaguely remember his time with the New York (pppppttt! You play in New Jersey!) Giants as reasonably successful (2 SBs!). Maybe it could work? Of course, I was young and not really in to football then so - maybe he's over rated?

I have to admit I am really freaking out for the team. I'm sorry I wasn't a Saints fan during the 'Aints / bag days, so I know I may never truly be accepted by the WhoDat Nation. But I do know that while I may have jumped on the Drew Brees/Saints bandwagon at exactly the right time (winning!), I can't seem to jump off of it now. I watched every game I could in 2010 and I cried when the Seahawks sent "us" packing. (What the heck is a Seahawk anyway??) I believed from the opening snap that 2011 was going bring another championship to NO and it's like adding insult to injury to me now that the Giants are the reigning superbowl champions when the Saints were clearly so much better than them. I watched the Giants because I found myself getting more into football a few years ago, they were always on, and my brother is a fanatic, but I never cared as much for Eli and the Giants as I do for Drew (Marques & Jimmy) and the Saints.

Since my doctor has flatly refused my request to put me in a medically induced coma until this is all over, I should probably go get a life, come back when the season starts and hope for the best. But now that I've found you guys here on CSC, I can't seem to walk away and stop torturing myself with reading post after post. So this is my first attempt to start a conversation, I'd really like to hear your thoughts on this Parcells idea.
