I have been a Viking fan since 1965. I was in Viet Nam in '65-'66 but we would get the NFL scores in the Stars and Strips from time to time. I joined the Marines in 1963, for 4 years. I was discharged a Sgt. E-5. Semper-Fi
Football is my favorite sport. Followed by High School wrestling, and baseketball.
My music has to be "50's and early '60's Rock and Roll.
My hobby and past time is classic cars. Going to car shows. And cruising in my 1960 Impala "Custom". My dream since 1958 has been to build and own a "custom car".
I'm married 43 years, have 4 adult children and 9 grandchildren.

Scoreboard never lies
I have been around for 66 years and seen just about everything at least twice. None the less, I have to say that a scoreboard never lies. Mankind does not have the same record throughout history. Indeed some folks are proud of their ability to lie or stretch the truth.
But in the NFL trash talking-trash counts for nothing. It doesn't make a play, a timely tackle, gain any yardage, score any points, or win any ball games. Maybe that is why we call it "TRASH TALKING", I mean it means nothing, EVER, it is worthless.
The "Scoreboard" however never lies. Reguardless of the talk, one way or the other, the scoreboard will not tell a lie. So without saying one word, it tells the world exactly what is what. That is where "what's-up" got its begining. Vikings Vs Packers 11-21-76, and 12-05-76. Rather then throw meaningless words back and for. The trash-talking ("ignorant") among us, where told simply to look up at the scoreboard.
Today there is a very important game being played in Minnesota. The trash-talking has begun for the ignorant among us. While us older and wiser heads will simply wait and see what the scoreboard says, (without saying anything),. Why? Because the scoreboard is all that really says anything, with even saying 1 word, it says it all.
So you youngin's trash-talk all you want. But as for me, I'll be watching the scoreboard every 3 minutes, during the entire game, and for years after the game ends.
"What's-up"?
