Grew up in Tennesee, always thought Patriotism meant rooting for the home team!!!! Lived and breathed football until my wife told me I couldn't have ESPN anymore. I went to Bible College in Memphis, lived in Mississippi for 2 years and now I am wandering in the wilderness (hopefully not for 40 years) of Kentucky. Did I mention Kentucky never was considered a Southern state? Border states...

Can't stand people who are from Tennessee and root for Kentucky.

Rocky Top Talk call the police, someone has been robbed

I am not a very intelligent fellow by any stretch of the imagination. Maybe someone can help me figure out how a team that beats the no. 1 team in the nation twice during the regular season, has a good year against quality opponents, has been consistent for 5 years... and gets jobbed with a 6 seed???????  I realize that the vols didn't do as well as expected, faltered in SEC tourney, but look at the teams with higher seeds.  NCAA selection committee members are hitting the pipe one too many times, or they are all from the East coast

Rocky Top Talk quarterback???

Alright, who tied Crompton up in his dorm room "facilities" and put a real quarterback in uniform??  I won't tell anyone, just make sure it happens again next week.  Great job, even looked like him.  He has done better than expected this year, but still is not a top tier SEC QB.  Did anyone hear that the top QB prospect for 2010 was in the stadium?  Could it be, we might actually recruit a QB... say it ain't so!!

Rocky Top Talk kinda glad its over

I too have had an extremely hard year dealing the plight of the Vols.  The only year this millenia that Kentucky has a better football team has been dismal.  I did get some redemption with the kittens going to the NIT.  But with the first round exit of the Vol men, not much to rub in.  Pearl has done an awesome job and I just hope he sticks around, should continue to recruit very well.

I am optimistic on next pigskin season, new coach, new system...  won't be too suprised if it is a sub par year.  Anything with any type of passing game would be an improvement over last year.  Maybe do like Ohio State and let one of the male (?) cheerleaders walk on. LOL

Please people give the girls b-ball a break.  They are all young.  Sure they have been great before with some young players, but you can't expect one senior to rally a bunch of green, just out of high school, playing for the biggest program in the universe...  Maybe you do, if so take a big dose of reality; you can't even muster enough character to get your lazy butt out of bed on Monday morning.  So to say that they played with no heart is a little bit of a stretch.  I know a woman who played for Summit at UT Martin and I have been told that no one can motivate like her, but she is not a miracle worker.

Vols Track Team still dominates, just not as exciting to watch.

Eager, but not bitter
