According to this, Mayhew was at Richardson's Pro Day, this must mean that they are not all there with the Best situation.

Detroit Bad Boys Vote JJ and Moose!

As most of you probably know (Or don't) the NBA All-Star game voting is underway. Now, in my opinion we have two players who deserve the honor of playing there despite our teams so-so record. I'm talking about Jonas Jerebko and Greg Monroe. Both of those guys have been lights out for us this year, and both have been playing very good post defense, something that our coach has been preaching the whole time.

So with that in mind let's start something similar to what our friends at Winging It In Motown did, lets start a twitter campaign. I propose for a hashtag: #voteJJandMoose.

Go Pistons and #voteJJandMoose.

Detroit Bad Boys DBB Fantasy Basketball League

I was thinking if anyone here would like to join me for a Fantasy League. I am not sure if we have an official one, but I thought that if at least eight or ten people would be interested I would open one up. I am thinking about making it on Yahoo!, with a live draft for a time to which everyone agrees to, two divisions, Default Rules.

If interested leave a comment then I'll post my email.

Per MLBTR:
The Tigers are interested in free agent outfielder Coco Crisp, according to Danny Knobler of CBSSports.com. The team has a projected outfield of Delmon Young, Austin Jackson and Brennan Boesch, but seems to be considering additions.

The switch-hitting Crisp led the American League with 49 stolen bases in 2011, hitting .264/.314/.379 with 27 doubles as Oakland's center fielder. The Tigers could trade an outfielder, most likely Young, if they sign a free agent such as Crisp. The California native seems to prefer West Coast teams, but explained in September that he’s also looking to play on a winner and find a good "financial situation" for himself. The A’s remain interested in re-signing him.

The Tigers still want to round out their rotation with a starting pitcher and a trade is more likely than a signing, according to Knobler. The team, which announced its deal with Ramon Santiago earlier today, could still add another second baseman, Knobler writes. Alternatively, they could pair Santiago with utility player Ryan Raburn at second.

Per MLBTR:
The Cardinals, Reds and Tigers are among the teams that have inquired on free agent right-hander Octavio Dotel, according to Jon Paul Morosi of FOX Sports. Teams won’t have to surrender a draft pick to sign Dotel, but the Cardinals will obtain a supplementary first round draft choice in 2012 if he signs elsewhere thanks to a recently-announced status change for certain free agents.

Dotel, 38, posted a 3.50 ERA with 10.3 K/9, 2.8 BB/9 and a 30.1% ground ball rate in 54 innings for the Blue Jays and Cardinals in 2011. He's especially effective against right-handed hitters, as this past season's split stats show (.410 OPS vs. RHB, .845 OPS vs. LHB). The Angels also have some interest in Dotel.

Winging It In Motown WIM Secondary Fantasy League

Hey,

I was a little late for the official WIM Fantasy league, but I was wondering whether anyone who was late(like me), or just wants another league with people from the same blogo-sphere. If you are interested drop me an email at leonet67@gmail.com, and well try to work this out. Minimum amount of teams = 8. Standard Yahoo! scoring settings. Most likely it will be an autopick draft, if have any other preferences tell me in the email and well try to work it out.

Pride Of Detroit Suh earns 2010 Pepsi NFL Rookie of the Year honors

Suh earns 2010 Pepsi NFL Rookie of the Year honors

NFL.com

Detroit Lions DT Ndamukong Suh is the 2010 Pepsi NFL Rookie Of The Year, Pepsi and the National Football League announced Thursday. Suh led the Lions, NFL rookies and all defensive tackles with 10 sacks. He also recorded 66 tackles, three passes defensed, one forced fumble, one interception and one fumble returned for a touchdown. Suh became the second rookie defensive tackle in NFL history to record 10 sacks. He also was the only rookie in the NFL to record a sack, an interception and a fumble return for a touchdown this season. He was selected to the 2011 NFC Pro Bowl team as a starter. Suh, who attended the University of Nebraska, was nominated for four Pepsi NFL Rookie of the Week awards, winning once. Suh was one of five finalists for the honor. The other finalists were St. Louis Rams QB Sam Bradford, Cleveland Browns CB Joe Haden, New England Patriots CB Devin McCourty & Tampa Bay Buccaneers WR Mike Williams. The five finalists were selected for their outstanding performances throughout the 2010 NFL season. Each week, five nominees were chosen for the Pepsi NFL Rookie of the Week and NFL fans voted for the winner on NFL.com. Those results were used to help determine the finalists. This is Pepsi's ninth year as the official soft drink sponsor of the NFL and the ninth year that Pepsi will present the NFL Rookie of the Week and NFL Rookie of the Year awards.

Detroit Bad Boys Pistons Trade WILL happen Today

From Prosportsdaily.com:

QUOTE:

Okay so I'm sure this will earn some flaming and insults being hurled at me...especially since I haven't posted here in over a year...but in any event, just figured I'd share and have everyone pick their heads up a slight bit. To say it has been an uneventful off season is one hell of an understatement. In any event, I have a source VERY close to the Pistons organization and he expressed to me yesterday that while he could not inform me of the specifics, that we would hear of some BIG news from the Pistons TODAY. I've taken it with a grain of salt on exactly what his definition of "BIG" is, but the one tiny bit of info he was able to share with me was that it would include a big man.

Take it for what it's worth, go ahead and throw some insults at me - but when the other shoe drops this afternoon, remember where ya heard it first!!

Detroit Bad Boys Possible Trades

How 'bout this:
http://games.espn.go.com/nba/tradeMa...radeId=23na57g

Pistons get Caron Butler and Eric Dampier and posiibly a draft pick.

MAvericks get Rip, Tay and Summers.

Or...
http://games.espn.go.com/nba/tradeMa...radeId=23hczug

Pistons get Landry and Tompson

Sacramento get J-Max and Summers+ draft picks
Why trade good: (Quote from mrknowitall of ProSportsDaily.com)
If the Pistons are looking for a trade to bring in some frontcourt help, then the Sacramento Kings are the team to call. They have Samuel Dalembert, DeMarcus Cousins, Jason Thompson, Carl Landry, Jon Brockman, Sean Mays, and Hassan Whiteside as frontcourt players (C/PF). Not to mention the 6'11'' guys that they have playing SF that can easily play PF in Omri Casspi and Donte Green. They are at a logjam and in need of some depth at the guard position. I wouldn't mind seeing the Pistons trying to make a deal for Jason Thompson and/or Carl Landry...and even though it's doubtful, I would love to see the upside of Hassan Whiteside because of his shotblocking ability.

Detroit Bad Boys Possible trade partner.....

How about this trade:

Detroit gets:

T-Mac

Shane Battier

Houston gets:

Rip

Tay

Maxiell

What it does is:

A) Rockets get rid of T-Mac

B) Pistons get a high paid expiring contract.

C)Give the Pistons a very good scorer(for now)

Check it out:

http://games.espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=yhb3d9k

Another possibility would be as follows:

Detroit gets:

Carlos Boozer

Some sort of Draft PIck

Utah gets:

Rip

Utah gets a great shooting guard and gets rid of Boozer.
