I'm a redshirt senior at KSU and in the Marching Band, I hope to one day get paid to work in the sports dept. at KSU, but until then I'll enjoy getting into most of the games for free, since I'm in the band or because I'm a student.

Which KC Star columnist has been dismissed????
There was hope there for a minute! I know I was wishing it was a different columnist being dismissed. To save you the trouble Robinett will still be 'writing' for the Star.
Ballpark Boys 2011
The Boys of Summer: Jack Wilson, Travis Smith, Kellan Larson and Kendal Young sit in the camper/van that will soon be their home as they travel across the country on a 54-day journey to see a baseball game in all 30 major league stadiums.
Bat Cats make the tournament
K-State will face Standford and then either Illinois or Cal St. Fullerton. Standford was ranked #19 on May 22 and have since won 2 and lost 1. Oklahoma was ranked #12 on May 22 and have since not been able to beat KSU.

Lace Dunn cleared of assault charge
A grand jury declined to indict Baylor guard LaceDarius Dunn for assault Thursday, effectively ending the case that began last fall with his arrest for allegedly breaking his girlfriend's jaw.
Dunn was suspended academically Oct. 7. A Baylor disciplinary panel allowed him to return to class the following week after hearing evidence and determining that Dunn was "not guilty of assaulting a female which resulted in her jaw being broken," according to a letter the Baylor University Judicial Affairs Disciplinary Committee sent to Dunn's attorney.
Going into Baylor's final regular-season home game Saturday night against seventh-ranked Texas, Dunn has 2,252 career points and needs only five to surpass Texas Tech's Andre Emmett as the Big 12 career scoring leader. He needs six 3-pointers to break the league's career mark in that category.

Strange Campus Sightings
It blows my mind, but I actually saw Abdul Herrera, the basketball player no longer playing for KSU, in Hale library at 8:30 on a Friday night.
And for the biggest fish out of water story of the year, Ron Prince walked right by me on Saturday, the same day of the KSU Spring Game. Although I saw him on campus, not at the game, it was quite awkward seeing him there anyway. I figured he would be far from Kansas, coaching his special teams players in Virginia by now.
