Lookout Landing Churchill - Bedard-Jones Update

Another league source claims he spoke with someone close to the situation in Baltimore and got the impression that Seattle was likely to cave on Morrow before agreeing to include Triunfel in any trade, but that no progress involving the right-hander had been achieved.

well according to churhill at prospect insider that sounds like better news then losing both jones and truinfel.

Field Gulls a pair of becks?

Just saw on yahoo...

The Seattle Seahawks are still in search of a third quarterback, a "flexible situation," as coach Mike Holmgren called it Monday. He has never started a season without three and indicated that a third quarterback would be added before too long.

Among the possibilities are Gibran Hamdan, who was the third quarterback in Seattle while Matt Hasselbeck was unable to play because of injury last season, and Hasselbeck's brother Tim, who was released by the New York Giants last week.

"That would be a dream come true for me," Hasselbeck said when asked about the idea of his brother coming to Seattle.

Lookout Landing A replacement for McLaren

Who do you think would be a good manager to replace mcsucken?

I was thinking Joe Girardi the 2006 NL manager of the year.  Girardi went 78-84 in 06 with a marlins team that only had like 15mil in payroll.

So besides girardi who else would be a good canidate to take this job from mclaren?

Lookout Landing Way OT - X games skate crash

As a skateboarder i enjoy watching skateboarding and this is one of the worst crashes i have ever seen. Jake Brown fell between 40 and 50 feet and walked away from it.

Lookout Landing If Raul looked as bad as he has been playing

If raul looked as bad as he has been playing it might look something like this.

I posted up a quicky one i had done earlier, but decided to spend a bit more time and make it look better.

Lookout Landing D-train?

Something i just saw on yahoo

A Seattle Mariners scout attended Monday's game to watch Florida Marlins left-hander Dontrelle Willis, who allowed four runs in 6 2/3 innings in his best start since the All-Star break.

Lookout Landing Rambling thoughts on wlad and adam

Even If the M's do resign jose guillen i can see  wlad and jones on the club next year.  Both ellison and broussards contracts are up and i doubt either will be back. Broussard will probably be looking for a club that will get him more playing time and ellison isnt a must keep as a 4th outfielder.

This leaves the door open for wlad to be our 4th outfielder and adam to take rauls spot provided that raul takes vidros spot at DH and vidro either gets regulated to pinch hitting, traded or is released with the m's eating his salary.

Adam is a no brainer to be starting next season (hell even this season) and with the power and speed numbers wlad has put up in tacoma this year the only way i see him leaving is through a trade which i really doubt will happen given the quality of pitchers avalible in the market right now. He would be a major upgrade over ellison by far as a 4th outfielder.

Lookout Landing No Mark Buehrle for the M's

Here is what yahoo is reporting...

CHICAGO (TICKER) -- Mark Buehrle will not have to worry about any more trade rumors.  Securing the services of their ace, the Chicago White Sox on Sunday signed the lefthander to a four-year contract. The announcement was made during the White Sox's game against the Minnesota Twins

Lookout Landing I hate Comcast

Comcast somehow knew i was planning on planting my ass infront of the tv for the nba draft and at 3:38pm both internet and cable tv went out and stayed out for almost the entire draft (i did get to watch picks 54 and beyond) i was able to somewhat hear the draft on kjr950 but reception out here on my crappy radio is pretty well... crappy

Lookout Landing Adam Jones

According to yahoo via rotowire Adam Jones might be on his way up...

Update: Jones could get called up if Raul Ibanez has to go on the disabled list with a hamstring injury.

Recommendation: Ibanez downplayed the injury, while manager Mike Hargrove was less optimistic. Jones meanwhile is killing Triple-A pitching. He's hitting .316/.389/.589 with 17 homers and 19 doubles. He's also improved his walk rate and cut his strikeouts. Even if Ibanez avoids the DL, it would improve the Mariners' offense and defense to put Jones in left field and move the defensively-challenged Ibanez to DH for the light-hitting Jose Vidro.
