The OT - 8/19/09
The old one was getting huge and also I didn't want to see the guy with his eye socket asploded anymore. Or the purple tongue thing. You goddamn freaks don't even think about spreading your toxic gif goo in this OT.

The 5/6 OT: A New Hope
Because it seems you have a lot of pent-up OTness and the old one takes a while to load up. A few well-thought out items for discussion:
What vegetables/fruit will you buy out-of-season because you love them so?
Pro sports team whose fans you feel the most pity for?
Band or artist you dislike that everyone else loves?
A word that makes you instantly hate the person who wrote/said it?
Most objectionable uniforms currently used by a pro team?
Items not to be discussed:
French Fry etiquette
mlbtv.com
Colon health

OTFPOTD 3/6/09:Tequila!
For me, tequila is the king of all distilled spirits. Agave has a gentle sweetness that carries through distillation and ageing that I adore.
A nice shot of well-made blanco with a fresh sangrita to follow is pure joy. There is nothing better than a reposado or anejo, neat, in the afterglow of a carnitas binge. In these tough economic times, I've been subsisting on Corralejo and Hussongs, with a covetous eye on the beautiful aha Toro bottles on the top shelf of the U-village liquor store.
So, what are your favorite tequilas? Anything we should be trying/avoiding?
For the "oh I can't drink tequila, I had a bad experience in high school" crowd: The Pancho Villa in the plastic "shatterproof" bottle you drank with your buddies in the park is not tequila and tastes like old barbecue sauce. Your bad experience likely had more to do with the quality and quantity of the crap you drank and not some mystical poisonous flaw with fermented agave nectar.
Also, Xbox, indie rock, weather, etc.

Do the Mariners employ a Nutritionist?
or a Diet Management Consultant, or whatever they are called? Seriously, can we start chaining Yuni to his hotel bed when he's not at the park?
After learning how Spiezio was allowed to eat during his burn through Seattle, you'd think mgmt would have a guy on this.
"Yuni - un empanada, si. Mas empanadas, no bueno".
They could at least get Vidro on the reduced-fat hot dogs. The Kosher American ones are actually not bad.
It's almost as if they have no clue how to run a successful baseball team.
