Mookie Blaylock on life support after car crash...

I used to love this cat when I was a kid following college ball. Sad. Hope he pulls through. JONESBORO, Ga. — Former NBA All-Star guard Daron "Mookie" Blaylock was on life support at a hospital Friday after his SUV crossed the center line and crashed head-on into a van in suburban Atlanta, police said. Blaylock was driving in Jonesboro Friday when he crashed and was airlifted to the Atlanta Medical Center in critical condition, said Clayton County police spokesman Clarence Cox. Cox says a man and woman riding in the van were also taken to the medical center. Their names and conditions were not immediately available. The 46-year-old Blaylock was a first-round draft pick by the New Jersey Nets out of Oklahoma in 1989. He played for the Atlanta Hawks between 1992 and 1999, appeared in the 1994 NBA All-Star game and had his best season in 1996-97, averaging 17.4 points and 5.9 assists. In 13 NBA seasons with New Jersey, Atlanta and Golden State, he averaged 13.5 points and 6.2 assists.

Lee needs to show some pride.

"Golden State’s David Lee; when he is close to the basket, opponents score at very high efficiencies" Pretty brutal. Bottom 5 interior defender in the league by this measure... not that it's a surprise.

Vote for Chris Paul!

With no hope of Steph being voted into the All Star game by the fans, the worst that can happen is for Lin to beat out CP3 for the starting spot...which would force coaches to (correctly) vote CP3 in as a reserve. Vote for CP3 and Steph! Down with Linsanity!

I'm high on this kid....

He wasn't on my radar before the draft, but more I see, the more I'm stoked on this pick. Everyone keeps talking about him being undersized and not athletic, but I'll take skills and IQ over pure athleticism every time.

I'm on board. Let's go! Edit: Tankie needed a driver.

Hope GM's don't read this...

"3. Take it or leave it: Monta Ellis. Abbott: Leave it. Walking proof that a high points-per-game total does not equal high productivity. Also, and I realize I'm digging in the archives for this, but: Explain that moped injury to me again? Harper: Leave it? I keep wanting to think if you found a way to pair Monta and Dwight Howard, Ellis would find a way to be really incredible for a team. He can't be the best guy on the floor but can be the best scorer, if that makes sense. If Monta is the best guy on the team, I'll leave it every time. Huq: Take it, depending on the circumstances. Are there mopeds coming back in the deal, and do we have a point guard? Ellis is one of the most explosive scorers in the league but also one of the game's most erratic players. I want him, but only if I already have a 1 I can trust to keep things under control. Schmidt: Leave it. There is no way he can be as good as his scoring numbers indicate, and that's going to create an issue on a good team. In a perfect world, he's essentially the Lou Williams on a contender. After scoring 20-plus and getting almost 40 minutes a night all these years, that probably will take too much getting used to for him. Wade: Leave it. Monta can flat score, and that is a great asset. But I think the Warriors will want more than he's worth. If a deal took only picks, expiring deals and some youth with upside, sure. But with new owners, Mark Jackson talking playoffs and Steph Curry in tow, they're in a position where I wouldn't know what to offer. "

Timeouts hurt scoring....

Can MJ please read this? If you're gonna run an ISO anyway, just gun it, don't let the defense get set.

Curry makes "All Jumper Team"

• Stephen Curry, PG, Golden State Warriors Nash’s true heir, in terms of both accuracy and ability to maintain that robot-perfect elbow-under-the-ball form on threes and on tricky shots taken in crowds near the foul line. Toss in a quick release and what seems like a disproportionate number of swishes, and Curry is a no-brainer.

...And Anthony Randolph sheds one lonely tear.

Nelly in MInny.... looks like it could actually happen.

Smart throws Curry under the bus...

I'm seriously starting to hate this "nice" guy. "We didn’t play smart basketball down the stretch," Warriors coach Keith Smart said. "We had a chance to walk away with this game and unfortunately we didn’t. Stephen Curry is a young player and he is going to grow and become a better player. He will learn and manage these situations better. Point guard is the toughest position in the world because every player wants the ball. Every situation you have the ball is critical."
