http://www.sbnation.com/users/warriorsfiend Posts made by warriorsfiend on SB Nation http://www.goldenstateofmind.com/2008/11/19/665396/stephen-jackson-saved-by-u warriorsfiend Wed, 19 Nov 2008 17:00:06 -0000 <p>Well we just extended this gunslinger and it looks like things haven't changed in Jackson's world still tossing up shots at alarming rates with very little in return.&nbsp;</p> <p>Last night he went 5-14 from the field as well as 0-3 from 3 and turned the ball over 5 times.&nbsp; Yeah those are the kind of stats he throws up on a nightly basis, given on most nights he makes a 3 because he's ussually taking atleast 6.&nbsp; This guy is not our savior he's a builder of houses with all the bricks he puts up, he's going to shoot our team out of a lot of games and has.&nbsp;</p> <p>Luckily last night Morrow came to play yet again and did something you'll never see Jackson do go 8 for 12 from the field and score 25 points.&nbsp; Jackson will never play like this in a Warriors uniform or any uniform where he's a starter, because let's be honest with ourselves, he's a roll player he was never meant to be a starter in this league and the reason for that is EFFICIENCY which he throws out the window every time he chucks up a bad shot, which is often.</p> <p>Has anyone noticed that during the last two games when Jackson went to the bench our lead somehow increased, let me ask you this don't you think if a teams best player (in this case apparently our most popular player according to a host of young kids on this site)&nbsp; goes to the bench a lead would decrease, well it goes up when Jackson goes to the bench surprise surprise surprise...&nbsp; his plus/minus last night -3 did you see that pass at the end of the game we're lucky Fernandez didn't grab it and go for a dunk.&nbsp;&nbsp;Wow this guy is supposed to be our leader OUCH!</p> <p>Looking to get burned on the perimeter by any player with any semblence of speed.&nbsp; How many times last night did you see our great "lock down defender"&nbsp; get burned by his man whille on defense?&nbsp; I saw atleast 4 to 5 plays were he got worked not by just a step but 2 or 3 ending in a dunk or layup.&nbsp;</p> <p>I don't know about all you other Warriors fans but I'm horribly dissapointed to see this man on my team for 4 more years after this one with a contract that is pretty much untradeable unless you pay for most of it.&nbsp; So my question to all of you is what should the Warriors do now that they have one of the least efficient players in the league locked up for 5 years into his retirement.&nbsp;</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> http://www.goldenstateofmind.com/2008/9/22/619755/wondering-if-anyone-knows warriorsfiend Mon, 22 Sep 2008 23:27:23 -0000 <img alt="Gsom_logo2" src="http://assets.sbnation.com/fan_shot_images/15863/gsom_logo2.jpg" /> <div class="source source-img"><p>Wondering if anyone knows if the Warriors are having an open practice again this&nbsp;year?</p></div> http://www.goldenstateofmind.com/2007/3/1/165326/3838 warriorsfiend Thu, 01 Mar 2007 21:53:26 -0000 <p>I'm looking for the player to sure up our power forward spot, I don't think we need a really high offense player just a man that will defend, rebound, get loose balls and the ocassional put back with a low turn over rate.</p><p>Anderson Varejao &nbsp;good height, plays hard doesn't turn it over, won't jack up unecessary shots, rebounds well can get put backs shoots a decent percentage glaring fault free throws could be better. &nbsp;Free agent at the end of the season.</p>
