Rufus on Fire Would you do this trade? DJ, Tyrus to LAL and Diaw to ATL

This is based off of several rumors...Diaw being on the block and Hawks fans wanting Gasol and willing to give up Josh Smith to do so
<!--StartFragment-->

This trade couldn't be done until March 1st due to McRoberts signing a recent contract with the Lakers though

<!--StartFragment-->

Lakers trade: Gasol, Blake, Fisher, McRoberts, Mavs 1st, (Use their Trade Exception)

Lakers get: Josh Smith, Augustin, Tyrus, Hinrich, Zaza

C-Bynum/ Zaza

PF-Smith/ Tyrus

SF-Artest/ Barnes

SG-Kobe

PG-Augustin/Hinrich

Lakers do this because: they get 2 PG's that will help them sooo much better then Blake and Fisher...Augustin is playing great this year and would be an ideal fit with the Lakers...Hinrich will be good to go in early February and will add great defense to this backcourt and can play the 2 guard as well...until he's healthy, they can continue to run with Morris as the back up PG...Now as far as Gasol goes, yes he will be missed...BUT they turn him into THREE big bodies...Josh Smith will space out the floor more for Bynum and is a lot younger and cheaper then Gasol, plus tougher...Tyrus and Zaza will be great off the bench, providing rebounds and gritty defense

On a side note, if the Magic are desperate, they could still trade Bynum, picks and whatever...you know Dwight would love playing with Josh Smith...that might not be enough for the Magic, but who knows???...Bynum has looked really good thus far this season

Hawks trade: Josh Smith, Zaza, Hinrich

Hawks get: Gasol, Diaw, Fisher

C-Gasol/ Diaw

PF-Horford/ Vlad

SF-Marvin

SG-Johnson/ TMac

PG-Teague/Fisher

Hawks do this because: they get Gasol! This adds size to the front court that the Hawks have been needing...Gasol would look great beside Horford...now another great thing about this trade is that they add Diaw, who could fill in at PF while Horford is out for the next couple months...I've seen a lot of people say a Josh Smith/Teague for Gasol trade...but this allows them to keep their up and coming PG...losing Zaza wont be too bad, cuz once Horford comes back, Diaw can play the back up PF or Center spot...this is a win now trade obviously for the Hawks

Bobcats trade: Augustin, Diaw, Tyrus

Bobcats get: Blake, McRoberts, Mavs 1st

C-Mullins/Biyombo

PF-White/McRoberts

SF-Magette

SG-Henderson/Reggie Williams

PG-Blake/Kemba

Bobcats do this because: they are making more roster moves for a complete rebuild...Diaw is already on the block...not cuz he's bad, cuz he isnt motivated...he knows this isn't a playoff team...on the Hawks, I think the versatile Diaw will be be back to his old self...also, while losing their best player in Augustin, they know they have to with Kemba as the future...they get Mavs 1st rounder and Steve Blake, whose contract is fine and can move to backup whenever Kemba is ready to start...McRoberts is looking solid this year and I think could find a nice role on this team...not to mention, they get to move Tyrus' contract, leaving their amnesty clause for Gana Diop or Magette if they want to use it on either of them

Sean Deveney: Had heard that the Nuggets were in the Al Thornton market. That's cooled now. Most likely for Thornton: Charlotte and New Orleans. about 6 minutes ago

Cat Scratch Reader Eagles would give up Asante for two 2nd rounders

http://football.realgm.com/src_wiretap_archives/23142/20110817/eagles_want_two_second_rounders_for_samuel/

Yahoo! Sports -The Eagles have said that they are comfortable keeping all three of their top cornerbacks on the roster.

However, that doesn't mean general manager Howie Roseman hasn't shopped Asante Samuel or listened to offers for the veteran.

Philadelphia is asking for two second-round draft picks in return for Samuel, according to a source.

The Eagles acquired Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie in the Kevin Kolb trade with the Cardinals and also signed top free-agent cornerback Nnamdi Asomugha.

Rufus on Fire Jordan HAS to have a plan in mind...

Obviously Jordan wasn't kidding when he said he wanted this team to be more than a 7th or 8th seed team. The departure of Wallace is one of two things: a salary dump only because he is desperate for money, or a salary dump to get us in position to get the wheels moving on a bigger deal. I believe it's the latter. I still think he is going after CP3. People have said this before, but I still think its very possible. With the new CBA, it will limit many teams from getting him.

Nets- No. Deron Williams

Heat- Too much money to the Big 3

Bulls- Rose

Celtics- Rondo

Magic- Gilbert...and no movable assets...will be screwed if  once Dwight leaves

Knicks- Possibly...but that would leave no money for rest of team....and the way the Heat are playing right now, that could make paul think twice about signing a long term deal that could end up the same way

I think the Bobcats have a real shot at making a trade for him this offseason. MJ has probably talked to Paul. I know Paul has mentioned wanting to play back home. So what do we offer? DJ and Diaw, plus the portland pick this year and give the hornets back their 2013 pick. Now our starting lineup would be CP3, Henderson, Jack, Tyrus, Kwame or a different center via Free Agency. That team would probably be better then last years team. Ok, so we are looking at 5th, 6th or 7th seed next year. And now we shift focus to our second objective: DWIGHT!

I know he has said he wants to remain with Orlando. I know its a pipe dream from HELL. But bare with me. This Orlando team he is on now is pretty good. If they don't do much in the playoffs, there really isnt any room for improvement. They are stuck with some horrible contracts (Gilbert/Hedu)!! Even with JRich coming off the books next year, they will be at $74 mill. Then if Dwight wants to sign an extension, it will be roughly the same amount that following year. So as much as Dwight hopes he can stay in Orlando, I doubt it happens. So where does he go?

The most logical trade I can see happening for him, is to the lakers for Bynum and picks. This isn't like the Melo deal. Melo couldn't afford to wait till Free Agency. With the new CBA and possible lockout, Denver lucked up and still had an upper hand. Either they got what they wanted or Melo didn't get his extension. Orlando has NO upper hand. Dwight can just walk. He doesn't need to demand a trade or pray he gets traded. But if he becomes a free agent, why Charlotte? Well by that time, Boston will have Garnett and Allen coming off the books with an aging Pierce for 1 more year. Intriguing? Yea playing with Rondo would be fun, but who's the rest of the team? Kobe would be 34 by then. Heat, Knicks, and Bulls aren't possibilities. This sounds funny, but it could come down to the Nets and Bobcats IF we have CP3. Thats a BIG "if" for us getting CP3 and Dwight making it to Free Agency. But if this was the case, why not come here? The ages are how old players would be in the 2013 season when Dwight hits free agency

C-Dwight (27)

PF-Tyrus (26)

SF- Jackson (34; He would have to sign back, but I'm sure he would if it meant playing with this squad)

SG- Henderson (25)

PG- CP3 (27)

Or....go to the Nets, where their supporting cast is Deron Williams and Morrow. They would have to trade Lopez. I don't know about you, but NOBODY would be able to drive on us with Tyrus and Dwight down low. Plus the lobs from PAul to Dwight would be amazing. Henderson has already showed signs of being pretty good. What's not to love if you were Dwight? To top it off, Paul Silas' contract would be expiring. Not that I want Silas gone, but we could hire Patrick Ewing as our coach.

Long story short. Jordan is too competitive to just sit back and watch our team right now get killed. He doesn't want that. He wants to win like everybody else. So while I was pissed at him for trading Wallace, I hope to god it's because he has a great plan for the future. Like I said, part one is to get CP3. We will see what happens from there.

Rufus on Fire Rocket Fans agree on trade proposal for Wallace...MJ please read!

In order to do this trade before Feb. 15, it has to be 2 separate trades

Trade 1- Wallace for Battier & Hill

Trade 2- Derrick Brown, Dominic McGuire, Sherron Collins for T-Will

New Line-Up

C-Kwame/Naz
PF-Diaw/Tyrus/Hill
SF-Jack/Battier
SG-Hendo/T-Will
PG-DJ/Liv

Look at how good that 2nd unit off the bench would be...Hill would be great to help out while Tyrus is injured...and I doubt we end up moving Diaw, but this trade makes him more expendable

Fans from both teams are fine with this over at Realgm...so i ask what do you guys think about it?

Rufus on Fire 3 step Trade process that could actually work!

http://www.realgm.com/src_checktrade.php?tradeid=5783517

First Trade- Tyrus, Jackson to the Magic for Reddick, Nelson, and Anderson...its already been rumored...bear with me

Second Trade- Diop and Carrol to the Pistons for Rip...again, already been rumored

Third Trade- Wallace, Dj, and Kwame to the Kings for Landry and Thompson

New Line-Up

C-Thompson/Nazy
PF-Landry/Anderson
SF-Diaw/Brown
SG-Rip/Reddick
PG-Nelson/Livingston

Bobcats go for the complete overhaul...MJ is too stubborn to completely rebuild so he makes moves that add some youth but can still compete...this trade also saves them about $5 million instantly which MJ will like...they get a young an talented pg in nelson, Rip gives them veteran leadership with reddick as a great scoring 6th man...allows diaw to move to a more natural position in SF, trading tyrus gives tem 2 cheaper talents in landry and anderson...plus they add a young big man in thompson...charlotte fans might be mad to lose wallace an jackson, but this team wasnt going anywhere

Best part is we get rid of our two worst contracts in diop and carrol and still have a talented team!

This was a thread started over on bobcatsplanet.com....wanted to bring it over here to get the discussion going...I have been a member of the site for the past couple years.....this ballwhore guy let us know about the Jrich trade and one more in the past b4 the news broke...he later then came out an told us who he really was....from what i remember, his sister either dates dj or he dates DJ's sister....one of the 2

Anyways....he said at the deadline last year that we were trading DJ to indy for Tj ford...said DJ had told him he was packing up....of course that didnt happen....now he has come back with this "info"...not saying its happening or not...just wanted to pass it on

maybe James or Ourday can shed some light...although I know Ourday has been reluctant since some idiots emailed him

Rufus on Fire For all those still holding out hope

Carmelo Anthony is not expected to sign an extension with the Nuggets this summer, according to sources close to the situation.

"Sources close to the situation don't expect Carmelo Anthony to sign an extension with the Denver Nuggets this summer," Alex Kennedy of HoopsWorld wrote on his Twitter page.

If Anthony doesn't sign an extension this summer, he'll hit the free agent market next July.

Not saying this means anything for the bobcats, BUT i have talked to a few people within the organization that are still saying we haven't given up on the big trade for cp3

Some of you might be mad i started this thread, but im tired of reading about punctuation errors and misspelled words

Rufus on Fire Could it be....cp3? Bobcats actually mentioned

http://realgm.com/src_wiretap_archives/68371/20100726/paul_still_seeking_way_out_of_new_orleans/

"A number of sources indicate that Paul and his new group of power brokers at Creative Artists Agency, led by Rose, continue to pull strings behind the scenes.

Meanwhile, the Hornets have been looking at the Magic, Bobcats and Nets as potential trade partners."

We are FINALLY mentioned...some might say this is bad because they think if its leaked, it wont happen...but i think its a GREAT sign....yall think the nets could offer more than us??
