Just came across the Bowl picks by Nick Daschel, and it got my blood pumping and boiling. If our offense can just start scoring touch downs! Things will be a lot better. Maybe I'm still on the gravy train but I just can't see us finishing with only 6 win's. Not if we start using our weapons on Offense and get some Red Zone TD's and clean up the penalties on Defense.

Here's the Link: http://www.bustersports.com/blog/pac-10-news/2009/10/08/pac-10-bowl-predictions/

Poinsettia Bowl: UCLA and California are best positioned to get to six wins and land this crummy bowl. Both swept their non-league schedule and, as bad as they are, should pick up the WSU freebie. Cal has a better chance of finding an offense at some point this season, so we’ll side with the Bears. Pick: California

I just heard on ESPN that Lute Olsen has stepped down from coaching. I think this is a good deal for the program. There was too much drama and it has been getting embarrassing for Arizona. I wonder who will be replacing him? Dunlap will take over for now. This news is really no surprise considering all that has gone down over there in that past couple of seasons. Either way this will surely change the standard. This according to Dick Vitale.

Go Bruins!

Hang in there Bruins!

Everyone hang in there! We will be in games like this all year.In the long run I think we will be able to look back on this moment in time and say it was all worth it.

It was a very painful loss, There is no denying that, but we improved on a few areas and not in some, being running the ball, passing the ball, and not being able to defend the punt return.

Overall, I give our Bruins a B- Today. While the effort was there, the Dog's contuned to convert on 3rd dows and that's really what has been and continues to be a problem.

Like Nestor has said, We should not give up on Walker because he really does not have the players that will make his defensive schemes shine as of now. We need to give him 3 more years.

Wasn't it nice to have Mr. Bell Back! Wow, if he can stay healthy, he will will give us a huge break with Kevin at the helm. With Wahington State coming into town next week, this will be a perfect time to gain some confidence, and come out swinging. In no way can we take this game as a "W" because how many times have we all expected a win and come away embarrased by WSU at home.

Keep your heads up and be proud to be a Bruin. Let me end these thoughts by using a quote from AA which can define these times and what the real goal should be, given what we have. "We're not trying to measure ourselves up against anybody else. We're trying to be the best UCLA Bruin team we can be."

Go Bruins!

Ben Olson leaving UCLA?

I ran into Pat and Joe Cowans Aunt and Uncle the other day and we got to talking of the game and how great it was. He told me that he has been a U$C fan forever and he couldn't believe he was rooting for UCLA. He had a UCLA hat on and USC sweat pants..Anyway's, he asked me what I thought Ben Olson would do. I said "well, I think he will be the starter and we will have a great and experienced back up." He thought that Olson would transfer to another school because he just wants to play in the NFL. He would not be the starter after what Pat had done against USC. I love Pat for beating SC and I will never forget those great runs he had. But, I know that Ben Olson has the potential to be a great QB, he has that RAW Talent. I think Pat Earned a Start against FSU,But after that Ben should get a lot of playing time against FSU. My point is he made me paranoid.. I really hope we don't lose Ben, my gut feeling is that Karl will make the right choice. What do you guys think?

Go Bruins!!

Im happy we get to play a "Winning Football School" Team this year. Better than losing to the Fresno ST's of the world who just embarrass us because we are supposed to beat them. Should be fun! Even though the Noles are 6-6, this is still a big game to win for us because of that reason. I know we have to believe that we will beat SC always. This is the first time in my life, when I truly believe we will get our buts handed to us by a more talented, better coached team in USC. It really pains me to. I have never felt like this about an SC game. Even though SC is supposed to be "Down" this season, they have found a rythem and we have not. The line is only 14 and I think that is very conservative. I hope they come out flat, and were on Fire. We need to have big plays and get lucky on Offense. We need Turnovers and Stops on Defense.. Trick Plays! I hope we dont run outside, because we won't get anywhere, We have to run it up the gut! 200 words...are we there yet?

Beat SC!
