Instead of being stuck with Buddy's player nicknames that end in a "y" or "er", I challenge you all to come up with better more acceptable nicknames.
No more Scotty Elarton or John Bucker! That's Long Ball Elarton and Juan Buck or Buck's Flowing Hair in my mind. The nickname I want to start is Billy Butler aka The Fat Ass-assin!
I may only be dreaming about the need for real nicknames so let me know what you all think.

Can anyone lead me to a site that lists the O Royals pitching probables this weekend? Or if you know, just post them? I'm heading up to Omaha this weekend and want to catch 2 out of the 3 of Hooch, Buckner, and Nunez. The Omaha Royals site doesn't list them or it says TBA but they play tonight so I'm thinking the rotation has to be set. Thanks for any and all help!

Can anyone understand why RSTN doesn't broadcast every game? I know we are small market and all but it's 2007 for Christ sake. What better way to get more exposure than to televise every game. I think this is the last year of RSTN's contract, does anyone know what's going on with the Royal's tv contract starting next year?

Sweep Implications

A win this afternoon would give us our 1st sweep of the year, our 1st 4 game win streak of the year, and give us our 1st winning month since 2003. Although fans of other teams would probably laugh at my excitement for these 3 things to happen, I know all of you are as excited about the possibilities as I am (especially doing them all against a 1st place team in the Angels). All you good Royals fans united and let's cheer on our Boy's in Blue this afternoon. I know my work productivity will be down starting at 2:30!

I have a feeling that De La Rosa will be good enough to keep us in it (much like Gil last night).

Hello all, I live in St. Joe, MO, am new to this site and am looking forward to the day the Boys in Blue can actually compete as a professional baseball club (I was thinking 2008 but pushed it to 2009 after this start).
I can't stop wondering why Billy Butler was called up but not in the lineup everyday. We all knew his defense sucks but it's not getting worked on the bench.
And I can't believe that Gil could be the All-Star game starter if he continues pitching like he has all season. Watching him bare down in tough situations and leaving runners stranded is something I'm not used to! Let's hope he keeps it up and gets his pitch count down a little so he can go 8 innings or even get some complete games down the road.
