I have a gut feeling that the Titans are going to make a play for either boldin or Edwards.

I'm even more convinced that they will after reading MR's comments. My guess is it's Edwards. If the Browns draft say Crabtree then they look to move Edwards.

I would think our 30th and a 4th rounder makes the deal. being that we pick 30th it's like a low 2nd rounder in this years draft. You could argue that anyone selected above the 16th 17th spot could be a 2nd round pick.

But that's just my gut feeling

I have a few questions that I hope someone help me with. concerning Players pay and the Labor agreement.

Let's use Collins as an example. He just signed a 2-yr Deal with 8.5 Mil Guarrented. If he plays both years he get's the full amount.. assuming he hits any bounus. My first question is.. Does any of the Money he makes go towards Retirement? Do NFL players have a 401K?

My next question is... The owners opted out of the recent labor agreement because the players get 60%!!!!! of the revenue that the NFL and Teams make. Now my question here is.. Where and Who the hell get's that 60%? I know it's the players, but do players get paid plus a yearly cut of the revenue? Are they double dipping in other words? Besides game checks do the players get a end of year revenue check? Is the 60% part of a 401K matching type deal? The union doesn't get it because the players pay union fee's and that is what pays the officers and run's the union..

I hope someone can help answer my questions..

Thanks!

Sorry for the lack of support and posting! Life has been pretty busy with the baby and running the boys to hockey games and practice.. Plus the Mother board on my computer went T*T's up.. anyways I'm back and been giving this off season some thought.

There is only one player deserving of the franchise tag on this team. That is Rob Bironas so I’d use it on him if a deal can’t be done.. But I suspect a long term deal will be struck by the end of this month.

Now on to my sign and let walk players. Let’s get to the meat and potatoes!

Big Al!!! Well I say let him walk…. (ducks under desk) Calm down and read what I’m about to say.. then re-read it.. and it’s ok to disagree with me. Let’s take the past two years out of the picture. Ok now! What has Big Al done? Exactly! Up until two years ago Big Al was on the verge of being known as not a first round bust. But a player who wasn’t worthy of the 15th pick.. So what changed two years ago? MONEY! What made him so dominate this year? MONEY! Big Al prior to the past two years was known as a player who takes a play or two off here and there. Even this year you see it.. The man when he is motivated is THE BEST at his position. But I believe once he gets paid. Well kiss that production good bye.

Kind of funny that during a contract year and knowing he won’t get franchised if he reaches certain things and yet ends up playing the most games (14) since.. 05 I believe.. haven’t looked it up.. also kind of funny that he gets injured I believe the week after being selected to the pro-bowl which in turn guaranteed him free agency.

In short Big Al isn’t worth the designation of highest paid Defensive player. Jarad Allen on the other hand is a self motivated man and earned his money and continued to earn his money. Big Al Keeps saying I want to stay in Tenn.. but in the same breath says there is no home town discount. Sound a lot like a man who just wants his money and once he gets it he is going back to Old Big Al. I think the front office is aware of this and will make him an honest and fair contract offer and in the end it’s not enough and he walks. He goes to another team and ends up playing maybe 10 games. But he will never be the Big Al of the past two years.

Kerry Collins: Easy enough to re-sign him to a 2 year deal should get done. He’s already said if he doesn’t start He’ll retire. He can pretty much thank Ryan, and Flacco for eliminating a starting chance on any other team other than the Titans. It’s a copy cat league and too many teams are going young coaches and young QB’s

Chris Simms: I’m a fan of Simm’s.. so I’d like to see them resign him to a two year deal.. I think he’d come cheap at this point

Brandon Jones: The man can play and can Get open. He’s just not your #1 type WR. If the Titans ever get a true #1 WR then My feeling is that Jones could be the Eddie Mac/ Wayne Cherbet type player. I say resign him at the right price

Chris Carr: A must! Young.. good in the return game.. good talent at CB.. not starter but solid Depth for the position

Scaife: I like him.. But he’s probably a little bitter about the VY thing. He sounds like a player that wants out so let him go

Fuller/King: No reason NOT to bring them back.. Yeah they aren’t as good as Cortland or Harper.. But guess what? You can’t have 4 players at the position as good as Cortland without being in Salary cap hell, Plus! You get talented starters then they don’t want to be back ups and become a problem in the locker room

Every other FA I didn’t mention can go…

Now on to eliminating the last bites and pieces of the Chow era. Trade VY and LW. LW showed me nothing last year.. which is funny.. because Titans Management must have known something, Henry and CJ consecutive years with LW on the roster? It’s time to get Rid of LW while he has value. Same thing with VY. He can do well.. but not as a Titan.. sometimes there is bridges you cross with friends but you can never cross back over with those same friends.. VY will never be able to win the locker room over again in Tenn.. He needs a fresh start where there isn’t slighted teammates. I’d let them go for 3rd round picks at this point.

Ok.. let the!! You’re an idiot bashing commence!

Making the Playoffs - How I see it

Hey Guys!

This is just a quick Diary on what I think needs to happen in order for us to make the playoffs. I'll List them in order of importance outside the importance of us just winning the last 3 games.

Week 15: We need

Houston to Beat Denver

Pittsburg to beat Jacksonville

Colts to beat Oakland

Cleveland to beat the Bills

These 4 points are likely to happen

Week 16: We need

1. Cinny to beat the Browns

This point is likely to happen since it's a division game and Cinny is at home

Week 17: We need

1. Houston to beat Jacksonville

If these points happen then we should Edge Jacksonville out of the playoffs based off of our division Record.

Then Us and Cleveland would be the 5th and 6th seeds.

Jacksonville has a history of blowing late season games and let's hope that happens again.

Now if I missed anything guys let me know! But those are the Key games as I see it

Is a FREAKING WR/TE who can catch and HOLD onto the Ball!

It's time for the team to start looking at Ealy and Davis a lot more in the game.

Moulds can catch, but can't seperate. Brandon Jones can Seperate but can't Catch! Gage is having to do it all by himself it seems.

We already know Jones cost us the colts game, but how many more is he going to cost us because he can't catch?

Scaife, Well I've given up on him and Troupe. Is Erron Kinney still out there?

Oh and Lendale! You want to talk about how good of a Running back you are, Well try doing something all good running backs do! HOLD ON TO THE DAMN BALL! How many red zone fumbles does he have now? Makes me sick!

Chris Brown always looks good so I really think the Titans should start him when he is healthy and Chris Henry should be his back up. I have no faith is Lendale white at all anymore.

I'm glad to see that Fisher and Chow are letting Vince go now. You can see the confidence growing in him these past two games. Now if we can get Albert back and get back to apply crazy amount of pressure then we will actually start winning games by pretty good margins!

Minnesota Court Case

(If you haven't read about this case in the news .....)

Minneapolis, MN (AP) - A nine-year old boy was at the center of a Hennepin County courtroom drama yesterday when he challenged a court ruling over who should have custody of him

The boy has a history of being beaten by his parents - and the judge initially awarded custody to his aunt, in keeping with Minnesota child custody law and regulation requiring that family unity be maintained to the highest possible degree.

The boy surprised the court when he proclaimed that his aunt beat him more than his parents - and he adamantly refused to live with her.

When the judge then suggested that he live with his grandparents, the boy cried and said that they also beat him.

After considering the remainder of the immediate family and learning that domestic violence was apparently a way of life among them, the judge took the unprecedented step of allowing the boy to propose who should have custody of him.

After two recesses to check legal references - and confer with child welfare officials, the judge granted official temporary custody to the Minnesota Vikings, whom the boy firmly believes are not capable of beating anyone.....

Ok people! the Game of the "year" is coming up Next Weekend and I'm curious who you will be going for.

Do you go for the Pat's because you can't stand another team in our divsion winning a game?

Do you go for the Colt's because you can't stand how arrogant the Pat's are?

This is what I'd like to see. I want the Pat's to win because it would be a loss for the Colts and put us 1 Game behind them (assuming we win sunday too). If the Pat's win then we could very well be playing for the Divsion Title week 17.

Now I can't stand the Pat's, But I hope they go undefeated in the Regular Season! Go straight to the AFC Championship game and LOSE TO US!

that would just be the best thing in the world. and not only lose to us, but get shut right down and we beat them by 10 plus

How do you want this Sundays game against Indy and New England to go?
