If you like playing football games, this is the game to play. In this game, you can build your own player, own your own team, GM teams, and so much more. You start by creating your own player, finding a team to play for, and build your player up to become one of the best in the league he is playing in. This is by far the most fun football game I have ever played. Oh yea, it doesn't cost a thing! Just try it out. You will not regret it.

Grossman, Orton, Hanie, or Hill?

Well, here we go. The Chicago Bears' QB depth chart! Isn't this exciting? So, we have these four QB's to choose from to be the Bears' starting QB. We have all seen Grossman. Honestly, don't leave a post if your going to show any support for Grossman. He sucks, the end. He lead us to the Super Bowl blah, blah, blah. NO HE DIDN'T! The defense did! Only people with their heads stuck up their butts say Grossman took them to the Super Bowl! The guy gets injured and is the most inconsistent QB in the NFL! Don't tell me he is better than Orton because he isn't! Please, give me three reasons WHY Grossman is better than Orton. YOU CAN'T! Don't say Grossman has a better arm. Orton has a good arm too! Grossman has done ZIP for the Bears but Jerry Angelo can't admit he made a HUGE mistake by taking Grossman over Larry Johnson, Dallas Clark, and Willis McGahee. Cut Grossman and cut all ties he has with the Bears. Grossman sucks, period.

The job should go to Orton. Orton has been 13-5 as a starter with the Bears. Yes, he has had only 12 TD's and 15 INT but most of this came IN HIS ROOKIE SEASON! Orton now knows Ron Turner's awful offense and knows whats going on. He won the Bears last two games of the year last year, almost half of the total wins the Bears had last year. Why not give him the job?

Hill and Hanie can learn the offense and be benched for a year. That is if they can even make the team...

Is it just me or should have the Bears taken Brian Brohm, Chad Henne, Jamaal Charles, Malcolm Kelly, or Ray Rice over Forte? Forte played for Tulane which had no competition and Forte was a projected 3rd rounder. Don't the Bears want a QB? Brohm AND Henne were RIGHT THERE for them and they passed them up. When Detroit traded up to the pick before them, I thought they would take a QB. But they didn't, leaving the Bears with either Henne and Brohm and they take Forte? Not Brohm, not Henne, not Charles, not Kelly, and not Rice, but Forte. Anyone else have a problem with this pick? ESPN's Steve Young did. He said they were one of the teams that had the worst day because they passed up Brohm and Henne for Forte. Just awful...

Tom Zbikowski

Tom Zbikowski was on ESPN First Take today and was asked the question how he would feel if the Chicago Bears drafted him. Zbikowski grew up in Buffalo Grove, IL, not too far away from Chicago. Tom said it would "be a dream come true" if the Bears drafted him.

Zbikowski has been a great SS at Notre Dame for the past four years and it sounds like he would love to play for the Bears. The Bears have a problem at SS because we do not know if Mike Brown can stay healthy and Brandon McGowan is not proven. ALSO, Adam Archuleta has proved nothing to any of us and looks like he is tailing off. Saftey is another major concern for the Bears. Zbikowski would probably be available in the 3rd round, probably around the 90th pick, where the Bears have a draft choice. SO, my question for everyone is...

If SS Tom Zbikowski is available at the 90th pick in the draft, should the Bears draft him?

Yahoo! had their 4th Ultimate Mock Draft just yesterday. It is pretty interesting and cool to look at. It is also really shocking! Tom Brady went #1 to the Dolphins but guess who went #4? DEVIN HESTER!!! Yes, Devin Hester to the Oakland Raiders with the 4th overall pick in the WHOLE NFL! The Bears took RB Adrian Peterson...no, not the Bears Adrian Peterson, THE Adrian Peterson from Minnesota. Another Bear that was taken was Brian Urlacher at #29 by the Colts.

http://sports.yahoo.com/nfl/news?slug=ms-thegameface041108&prov=yhoo&type=lgns

If you could have any player in the NFL for 10 years, who would you want to have?
Biggest Need in Draft?

We all know that the most needed position in this draft is almost any position on the offensive side of the ball besides tight end. Defense could be address with the #14 pick like a defensive tackle if Sedrick Ellis somehow fell there or possibly a safety such as Kenny Phillps. But what do the Bears need the most? A quarterback? A running back? An offensive lineman? A wide receiver? The Bears have a lot of holes to fill but only one pick to show what direction they want to head in.

This question isn't WHO the Bears should select in the draft but WHAT they need to get in the draft.
QB Starter?

I know we have heard about this many times but we do have two QB's. Not a good two QB's, just two QB's. I think Kyle Orton should start. We saw him in the last two games last year and the Bears (I said Sox before, sorry about that) won both of the games. He may not have great games but SOMEHOW, the Bears come away with a victory. I've seen enough of Grossman, and who wants to see him taking the first snap of the season in a loss to the Colts? If Orton starts, he gives us a boost on offense with his cannon of an arm. He needs to improve on his accuarcy but he can work on that during training camp. What I am asking you is, who do you want starting for the 2008 Chicago Bears?

Don't say Orton doesn't have an arm. He was known as a gunslinger in college and has a huge arm if the Bears would open up the offense for him. Does anyone remember his first TD pass he had against the Saints? The Bears were back on the Saints 20 or 25 yard line and had a rocket into the endzone for a TD. That really looked good. All of our offensive woes points to Ron Turner. The guy is an idiot and should have been fired but Lovie Smith and JA just love him too. This should and will be Turner's last year.

If you check the 49ers blog now, the lastest post is "Fooch" trying to calm everyone down.

Diary Deletion
By Fooch
Posted on Fri Mar 28, 2008 at 08:53:16 PM EDT

Just a quick update following the back and forth on the Bears stuff. It got a little heated and insults were flying back and forth so once the air was cleared somewhat, I've decided to delete the diary so we can move forward. I have no problem talking a little smack as long as it's backed up with some sort of even remotely logical argument. When people start calling each other morons and hurling slurs back and forth, nothing good can come of it.

I take the blame for things getting a little out of hand, and hopefully this won't be a problem in the future. I don't want people to get discouraged by some of the discourse that was going on. I still plan on using the Stoolies name and logo, but I think all points were sufficiently made. Things are quiet right now, so hope everyone can enjoy some quality basketball this weekend (Davidson rocking Wisconsin's world right now). I'll get some stuff up this weekend, so see you then.

OK, now it is me talking. What are your thoughts on what's going on?
