We all know the story, but I love finally seeing a Seahawk in the national media and in the discussion for an award. Feels good.

Field Gulls A Procrastination Exploration of the Seahawks Offense

I was bored as I was procrastinating so I came up with my take on the Seahawks roster and what I feel we should, or could, do moving forward. I'm no scout so most of this comes from my relatively informed opinion. Feel free to disagree, and discuss offseason moves you'd like to see, or you'd like to avoid.

I also apologize to those who think the title is really lame, I just have a punny sense of humour, and a few papers to avoid.

A little help on special teams, or is this supposed to help our receivers too? I hope we stick to special teams "ace".

Too bad they wouldn't accept Darren Sproles v2.0, Justin Forsett. We could go with Spiller and Gerhart in the draft (or just one of them if we were comfortable with Jones as a security blanket. Which I'm not).

Field Gulls Pro Bowl Folly

With the always-exciting Pro Bowl looming large this week I happened upon an idea that makes some sense to me (understanding that most ideas I have make very little sense). It is this: replace the Pro Bowl with a skills competition involving as little contact as possible for football. The NBA has the dunk competition, the three point competition, and the like, and hockey's got hardest shot, accuracy competitions, and even the MLB's got the Home Run Derby, so why is there no skills competition for the NFL? Not very many people want to play in a full-out all-star game where they might get hurt, and there is no skills competitions that I have heard of. Here are a few ideas that I feel are worth mulling over:

Doesn't matter, but it shouldn't be close to the Super Bowl
