Strikeforce to put on 135 and 145 Women Tournaments
'I'm with midget when it comes to Strikeforce's way of promoting or dealing with their cards, however according to mmamafia.net Strikeforce is doing the right thing here in creating a 8 woman tournaments in the 135 and 145 women bracket. Sadly, Gina Carano will not participate in the 145 because they want to use women that haven't been exposed. Plus i think they plan on banking on her popularity on their cards. Sarah Kaufman won't be participating either because she will be fighting Takayo Hashi for the vacant 135. The tournament starts in April and will be on the Strikeforce challenger series.
They haven't announced anyone that is participating in the tournament yet. I was just wondering who was going to participate in these tournaments ?

Request to Gals Guide To MMA
Hello Ladies!! I have already voiced my criticism for Gals Guide to MMA on Bloodyelbow.com. Now i want to ask if Gals would listen to some suggestions that I thought would make their site unique and better.
1: I love the Get Schooled section. It is done fairly well. I would recommend anyone that does not know mma look at that section. I would make it bigger and a little more noticeable. a section that well done should get more attention.
2: I felt that the analysis that I wanted to be on your main page was on Random thoughts and Ramblings section. I want to hear your opinions on Dan Henderson going to strikeforce or UFC banning a sponsor. I want to hear major news brokedown by the female perspective.
3. Where is the section on female fighters ? I love female mma but, it gets little to no coverage. Tell me who you think is #1 ranked female fighters. Who is the next rising star? This is something I think not only belongs on your site but, it should be a big part of it.
4. as a guy its hard for me to stay on your site because i find obviously to be fairly girly. Now this isn’t much of a problem but, I wouldn’t mind a different color scheme. If you could fine a color scheme that would keep its feminie touch and be a little more guy friendly that would be nice.
This site has a lot of potential. I would love to have this site grow and become very popular.
Happy Holidays to Gals Guide To MMA.
My Thoughts on Liddell and Ortiz as next season's Ultimate Fighter Coaches .
I would first like to say I am a little mixed on next season's coaches. I like that they did not lock down a champion or stick anyone relevant as the coaches. Besides the Lightweight division, the other divisions are in need of contenders. I don't want to see two title contenders tied up for 6 months. I like the fact they used fighters with star power with no relevance to the title.
I hate that its Liddell and Ortiz. Its a lose/ lose situation. Liddell beat Ortiz twice. I don't understand why a third fight is neccesary. Silva vs Jackson III was sold on the premise that Jackson is different since his pride days. Jackson improved his boxing greatly since Pride and the third fight proved it. What has Ortiz improved since his last fight with Liddell ? His excuses !! (My skull was cracked and back isn't fully healed and Forrest steped on my toes. boo hoo !!!) Ortiz isn't the same fighter he was 3 years a go.
Age and injuries have caused Liddell and Ortiz to slow down and become old shell of their former selves. What are the positives of this match up. If Liddell wins, its against a man he has beaten twice already and doesn't help at all for his legacy. If Ortiz loses again, then he should retire. If Ortiz can't beat Liddell now, then he can't win against half Light-Heavyweight Division.
If Ortiz wins the win is irrelevant becasue he has beaten a fighter that hasn't been relevant in over a year. Ortiz would get to avenge lost and could launch another "I'm coming for my title" campaign. Liddell suffering another lose would make three in a row. It would be a hard argument to make for Liddell to keep on fighting. This fight has the "Loser Goes Home" tag written all over it
I can't understand why Dana would make this match up. He is going to lose a star power draw at the coaches fight for what ... More Spike TV ratings. Ortiz and Liddell are legends of the sport and should go out with a bang, but not like this. I would like to tip my hat to both Ortiz and Liddell for all the fireworks and great fights they had. I will miss watching you guys come into the Octagon because after you guys fight for the last time. One of you won't be coming back.
10 Things I want to see in UFC Undisputed 2010
Since I am very bored, I have decide to list the 10 things I want to see in the next UFC Undisputed game.
Fighter Stances
I hate how in the game every fighter stance is the same. What makes Lyoto Machida one of the best fighters in the UFC is the fact that he has a lean back stance. The lean back stance makes it hard to for his opponent to hit him which plays perfectly into Lyoto's fighting style.
The Ultimate Fighter
The Ultimate Fighter is the reason why the UFC has garnished so much success. I was blown away that they created a game without it !?! I mean come on, who doesn't want to bust down doors and pee on beds ? In all seriousness though, The Ultimate Fighter should be the way you start your UFC Career Mode.
Tournments
I did not have the pleasure of seeing Pride in its heydays but, I know one of the reasons they were so popular (besides their badass , either way it would be fun. Plus it would be cool to have an online tournment too.
Changing Weight Classes
I liked how in the career mode you had to work your way all the way to the title and I will confess when I won the UFC Lightweight title I was screaming and jumping up and down shouting "who's the Man,...I'm the Man..in your face BJ!" I was excited to defend it until I realized I was facing the same four guys over and over and over again. I was on the FIFTH match against Kenny Florian (No Joke) that I really wished I could jump up and fight at welterweight or fight the welterweight champ. I hope next year game lets me do that.
Submission !
I like how the submission system is set up however, I would like them to include more submissions and make it a little bit easier to use them. Also they could include in career mode the ability to choose weather to tap or not. Lets say your fighter is put in a deep arm bar and your are giving the choice to stick it out and possibly break the hold with the risk of breaking your arm or you could tap and save your arm. The punishment for an injury would be going so many weeks without being able to train and your stats decrease because of it.
More Fighting Styles
There are more than six fighting styles in the UFC and I would like to see them make there way into the game. Karate, Facesmashing Fu, Jeet Kon Do, Etc... The more styles they put in the better the game.
Training
I did not like that there was only three way to improve your fighter. One, improve your STRENGTH,SPEED,and CARDIO by selecting in the menu. Two, improve your fighter through two minute Sparring sessions. Lastly, sending your fighter to camp to learn his striking and grappling techiques. I want more mini games or tutorials for training. How cool would it be to ACTUALLY practice BBJ with BJ Penn or wrestling with Henderson instead of the stupid created training partner. I don't know what kind of improvements they will make however, I will not be happy if next years game has the same training.
The Octagon
I would like next years version to incorporate the use of the cage. In real UFC fights the cage is used quiet often and I think the game needs to get as close to the real thing as possible.
WEC
This is wishful thinking on my part but, I would like them to include the WEC. It would give the WEC some much needed exposure and I get to play as Miguel Torres and Mike Thomas Brown. They could make it another mode in the game like "Classic Fights" in the current UFC game. I would only include the Featherweight and the Bantamweight classes because those are the feature weight classes in the WEC.
Legends
I was hoping they would have unlockable legend fighters in this UFC game however, I would like them to put them in the next game. I think that would be a great idea. It might not be a practical idea but, a man can dream right ?
I really do like the UFC Undisputed 2009 game and hope the next game surpasses this one. I wouldn't mind hearing what you guys would like to see in the next game.
The Very Good Problem of UFC 106
UFC 106 is shaping up very nicely. The event is headlined by Lesnar vs Carwin however, there are six other fights that are main card worthy. Here they are:
Top 5 UFC Undisputed Snubs
I can not wait for UFC Undisputed 2009 to come out. I have been waiting for four months and I plan on going and buying the game on May 19th. I have been trying to find out as much as I can about the game and I have come up with a list of the top 5 things that were left out.
5. Efrian Escudero and Ryan Bader
I know what your thinking. Why is Escudero and Bader a snub ? Escudero and Bader are available fighters only if you purchase the game at Gamestop. I believe you can purchase these fighters online however, Escudero and Bader don't have an establish fan base. I don't see people running home to purchase Ryan Bader for UFC Undisputed 2009. The UFC is missing a golden opportunity to create more exposure for the ultimate fighter winners.
4. Clay "The Hammer" Couture
I have to give THQ the benefit of the doubt. It takes a long time to develop a game and fighters come and go in the UFC very quickly. The fact that they left some well known or up incoming fighters off of the fighter roster earns them #4 on my list. Here is a list of fighters that I thought should have been in the game but, didn't make it
Randy Couture,Clay Guida, Dustin Hazlett, Mark Hamill, Luis Arthur Cane, Patrick Cote, Shane Carwin, and Junior Dos Santos
3. The UFC Heavyweight Division
What does Tim Sylvia, Andrei Arlovski, Mirco "Crocop" Fillipovic, Fabricio Werdum, and Eddie Sanchez all have in common? All of them are not in the UFC. In my opinion, I love this division and wish the UFC heavyweight division actually had these fighters. The snub goes to the rest of the UFC heavyweight division that were not good enough to be in the game.
2. UFC Legends
Royce Gracie will not be steping back into the Octagon again...or at least not in UFC Undisputed 2009. I am a recent UFC fan and I don't know that many "UFC Legends" however, I still would like to have them in the game. Who wouldn't like to have a Gracie vs. Shamrock rematch. The least the UFC could do is honor the fighters that helped them get to where they are today. I hope in UFC Undisputed 2010 they put them in the game.
1. The Ultimate Fighter
The greatest Zuffa vehicle, the show that launched UFC popularity, won't be in the game. When I first heard they were making a UFC game. The first thing that came to my mind was the Ulimate Fighter. What better way to get your created fighter in the game than the Ultimate Fighter. The fact that THQ left out the Ultimate Fighter gives earns them the #1 spot. Cross your fingers and hope UFC Undisputed 2010 puts the Ultimate Fighter.
