I am a Media Management/Journalism double major at the University of Sioux Falls. I have an Associate's Degree in Business Administration and am currently working as a Production Assistant at the local NBC Television News affiliate.

My writing history includes covering the Sioux Falls Stampede of the United States Hockey League for the USF newspaper, The Vessel, covering the Minnesota Wild and general USHL hockey as a Staff Writer for The Hockey Writers and covering the Wild as Editor and Chief Writer for SI.com/FanSided's Gone Puck Wild.

In addition, I also host a two hour long hockey talk radio segment on KCFS 94.5 FM from 10-12 on Thursday mornings throughout southeastern South Dakota, southwestern Minnesota and northwestern Iowa. Guests have included USHL players, OHL players, current NCAA players and even NHL players. The show can be streamed live online here: http://www.usiouxfalls.edu/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=892&Itemid=156.

What are your defensive pairings?

Ever since the Wild aquired Zach Parise and Ryan Suter, and Yeo announced he'd pair the latter with Jared Spurgeon, I can't help but find myself contemplating what the Wild blue line will be...

Gary Bettman could take over the New Jersey Devils.

No way New Jersey can afford Parise. He goes to free agency (in my opinion).

What would it cost to move up two, three spots in the draft?

Looking at where the Wild are currently sitting in the 2012 NHL Entry Draft, there's a whole lot to like. With the 7th overall pick, the Wild have a great chance of selecting a future franchise...

2012 NHL Mock Draft Fan Contest: Wild4Life

1. Toronto picks Yakupov (pick aquired via trade with Edmonton for Schenn, 2012 1st round pick and 2012 2nd round pick) 2. Columbus picks Murray 3. Montreal picks Grigorenko 4. Islanders pick...

Jackets pass on Corbeil, Wild to capitalize on possible opportunity?

This is just pure speculation on my part. With the Jackets having passed up on the Sea Dogs' #1 netminder, and Fletcher's knack for drafting a goalie each year, could the Wild be looking at taking him in this year's draft? I can only imagine that, with the way they've been keeping track of Coyle and Phillips, they've probably kept an eye on Corbeil as well. Personally, if he's still available in the third round or later, I hope Minnesota snatches him up.

Wild having trouble signing Gustafsson?

Huh, interesting article. I certainly hope they can sign him. Personally, I think Kuemper will be the franchise goaltender but, it would be nice to have this kid down in Houston or as the backup if either Matt or Darcy gets traded. Thoughts, Wilderness?

Next year's possible lines.

With the way the Wild have been plummeting, all that can be done is dream of that top five pick and what the roster might look like next year. So, let's take a look at possible line combinations...

What route do we go at the draft?

After a few years of building up depth in forward prospects, the Wild have suddenly run into a wall on defense. More after the jump.

A few thoughts about "der goalies".

With the trade deadline coming up and the Wild in a very tough position, you can't help but feel that we're sellers at this point. Kyle Brodziak has been re-signed and the Wild's "trade bait" now...

Could this be a bad move? Yeah, maybe for this year...but the future? I'm not so sure.

Given the Wild are plummeting through the standings faster than an anvil, I've been giving a lot of thought to any moves Chuck Fletcher might make before the deadline. Ver few "minor/average"...

Who is the most expendable member of the Minnesota Wild?

No one can deny that the Wild improved with the draft day blockbuster trade with San Jose. We added a great scorer in Setoguchi and added Coyle and Phillips to the cupboard. Eight games into the...

Just a thought...

How dangerous could our second line be in the next few years if you have Zack Phillips centering Guillaume Latendresse and Pierre-Marc Bouchard? Neither Granlund or Phillips will play in the...
