Sanchez is out of options?

Recently both Andrew Baggarly and Hank Schulman wrote Giants pitcher Jonathan Sanchez was out of options. I remember the Giants optioning Sanchez to Fresno in 2006 and again in 2007 however do not remember the third time the Giants optioned Sanchez. How does the option process work? How many times can an organization option a player? When was Sanchez optioned that many times? Please help a brother learn about the game.

6th Round Pick: Matthew Graham

Matthew Graham RHP Sr. R-R 6-4 215 Oak Ridge Spring, Texas North Carolina 5-1-90 This player sounds like the perfect project player for the Giants organization. Kid pitcher with a ton of talent, raw and projectable. Hopefully the Giants can sign Graham away from his NC commitment.

KLaw's Take on the Giants and the #6 Pick

Dave - Sacramento: Who is on the Giants radar for the 6th pick? The system is in desparte need of a top flight OF but this draft doesnt appear to merit that kind of pick at number 6. SportsNation Keith Law: (1:46 PM ET ) By all accounts they're still fairly open because they're not sure who falls to them. Heard they'd prefer a college player but haven't ruled out a HS pitcher. Don't see them on Tate. They've been linked on and off to Green and Wheeler.

Giants Considering HS Pitcher Zack Wheeler at #6 in Draft?

Zack Wheeler Just to give you some confirmation that he's being considered this high, BA reported Brian Sabean took in a Wheeler start personally last week. GMs usually only take in games of players they genuinely consider at their slot, and the Giants' slot is one higher than here at number seven. Previously: #7.
