Clowney... which should be telling you something.

Peyton Manning would be Trent Dilfer if he was throwing to Alvin Harper.

Here's an important question to ask this draft season
Commented on NFL Mock Draft 2014: Mel Kiper plays it safe for Buccaneers on Apr 18 2014, 11:17a - 1 reply
it helps to draft for depth needs at key positions, and our O-line's depth is pretty meager at the moment...
Commented on NFL Mock Draft 2014: Mel Kiper plays it safe for Buccaneers on Apr 18 2014, 11:16a
I don't have Xavier slipping that far. In my mocks, he's usually going pretty high (first Guard off the list in fact)
Commented on NFL Mock Draft 2014: Mel Kiper plays it safe for Buccaneers on Apr 18 2014, 11:15a - 1 reply
dawwwwwwwwwww... so if the Bucs do trade down to garner a few extra picks, who WOULD be there by the 15th (or maybe 21st, that's the lowest I'd trade down)?

especially since this is a deep draft for Guards, with starter-caliber guys well into the THIRD Round from what I'm hearing.
Commented on 2014 NFL Draft: Tampa Bay Buccaneers' top needs on Apr 16 2014, 7:54p - 1 reply
when there's great need, immediate need, getting a No. 2 WR to line up opposite V Jax, screw getting a DT as a luxury.

um, sled. Sleigh is bigger than a sled.
Commented on 2014 NFL Draft: Tampa Bay Buccaneers' top needs on Apr 16 2014, 7:50p
why trade up for a tackle in Lewan who'll most likely still be there by the 19th pick? why trade up for a tackle when the odds are good Matthews slides to 7th (Robinson maybe)?
Commented on 2014 NFL Draft Rumors: Buccaneers are not trading up for an offensive tackle on Apr 16 2014, 7:48p - 1 reply
trading up for an OT implies Matthews and Robinson would be gone. Which means Watkins might slip to us at 7th. So the Bucs DON'T need to trade up.
Commented on 2014 NFL Draft: Tampa Bay Buccaneers' top needs on Apr 15 2014, 10:45p
Falcons. If the stories be true they be hankering for Clowney, they have the most to gain trading up to Houston's spot ahead of Jags.
Commented on 2014 NFL Draft: Tampa Bay Buccaneers' top needs on Apr 15 2014, 10:43p - 1 reply
Most of this list is correct: Top needs are WR and G (starting and depth), followed by TE, DE, MLB and S (depth). QB is more a luxury at this point...
Commented on 2014 NFL Draft: Tampa Bay Buccaneers' top needs on Apr 15 2014, 10:39p
Defensive Tackle not high a need IMHO, not even for depth...

We need a No. 2 at receiver. Louis Murphy is at best a 3/Slot.
Commented on 2014 NFL Mock Draft: Mike Evans and Derek Carr? on Apr 15 2014, 7:49a
trading down to 29th or 32nd drops us too far, considering the need for high-caliber talent at WR might not be there by 29th.
Commented on 2014 NFL Mock Draft: Mike Evans and Derek Carr? on Apr 15 2014, 12:15a - 1 reply
my argument for ignoring need at QB is, believe it or not, because we've got Glennon as backup...
Commented on 2014 NFL Mock Draft: Mike Evans and Derek Carr? on Apr 15 2014, 12:13a - 1 reply
if Manziel is on the board at 7th we can trade down to a team desperate for QB and wait at a lower pick for a decent WR that we do need.

Commented on 2014 NFL Mock Draft: Mike Evans and Derek Carr? on Apr 15 2014, 12:08a
why is Carr moving up so high on the boards? Is it because Teddy is sliding down just as fast?
