Counting down

According to the Globe's Baxter Holmes, Rajon Rondo is scheduled to meet with Dr. James Andrews in the next two weeks to check on the progress of his ACL surgery.

"Maybe" next week

When asked by CSNNE's A. Sherrod Blakely about meeting with doctors next week about getting medical clearance for full contact, Rondo replied, "maybe" with a grin.

Brace yourselves

The Celtics face Chris Paul, Ricky Rubio, Brandon Jennings, John Wall, and Kyrie Irving this month. Wanna bet Rondo wants to test his knee against the league's best?

Light at the end of the tunnel

After today's light practice, the Celtics discussed the impending return of Rajon Rondo and how it might be sooner than later.

Rondo ramping up

In the Twitter bedlam between Derrick Rose's season-ending surgery and Kobe Bryant's $48.5 two-year extension with the Lakers, the Globe's Gary Washburn tweeted that Rondo has been participating in some 5-on-5 drills.

Process progress

Danny Ainge made his weekly appearance on The Sports Hub's Toucher & Rich show with an update on Rajon Rondo, the nature or trade rumors, and the progress on his young team.

Hold on

With the barrage of trade rumors coming out of New York laser focused on the Celtics and their bullpen of rebuilding blocks, let's take a second to relax, breath, and spurn the Knicks.

Double dog dare you

The Celtics have dared teams to take the outside shot and it's been working so far.

Gone Till December

Danny Ainge joined 98.5's Toucher & Rich this morning to talk about the impending return of Rajon Rondo.

Sullinger out tonight

Jared Sullinger will take the night off with a bone bruise on his knee.

To tank or not to tank

With the Celtics and Sixers tied at the top of the Atlantic Division, could Boston and Philadelphia be attractive destinations for free agents rather than lottery ticket owners at the end of the season?

Wash rinse repeat

The Celtics are 4-4. We've some bad. We've seen some good. There have been lineup changes, disappearing acts, and some pleasant surprises, but there are a few things that I'm still waiting for not named "Rajon Rondo."

Sully's MRI results: bone bruise, day-to-day

After a collision in last night's game, Jared Sullinger will have an MRI on his knee.

One-on-one with Hot Hot Hoops

Bloggers from CelticsBlog and Hot Hot Hoops go head-to-head. Who ya got?

The little things

His stat line last night wasn't that impressive (2 points on 1-4 shooting, 3 assists, 1 steal, +8), but all the little things Phil Pressey did made a big difference.

Gerald Wallace came to the Celtics this summer and quickly won us over as the preseason MVP. However, four games into the season, he's already talking his way out of Boston.

Paint by numbers

Earlier today, Ben Rohrbach of WEEI's Green Street put together some condemning statistics about the Celtics and their poor performance in the key. Consider this the rebuttal.

Kelly Olynyk has been compared to Kevin McHale and Dirk Nowitzki, but so far in limited minutes, he's looked more Larry Bird and ahem, Rajon Rondo.

Freely restricted

As expected, the Celtics could not come to an agreement with Avery Bradley on an extension before tonight's midnight deadline. He'll enter this summer as a restricted free agent.

Jeff Green was underwhelming during the preseason, but vowed to bring the killer mentality back when the regular season started and he did. He picked up where he left off last year with last night's aggressive performance in Toronto.

Celtic green to Red Claw red

Three Celtics' training camp invites are expected to join their affiliate team on November 7th.

Starting 5: Bradley, Green, Wallace, Bass, Faverani

Looks like Monday's practice lineup was accurate. C's will go big with the Green/Wallace pairing and Bass gets the nod over Sullinger and Olynyk. Pressey will come in as the only pure point guard on the team right now and help create shots for Lee, Olynyk, Sullinger, and Humphries.

You and you, but not you and you

Danny Ainge announced today that the Celtics have extended Jared Sullinger, opted out of Jordan Crawford's and Marshon Brooks' additional years, and more importantly, still negotiating with Avery Bradley on an extension.

Master & commander

Forget the redundancies in the roster, stop tinkering with trade machine, and imagining how Rajon Rondo fits into the rebuild puzzle. The Celtics are in good hands, everybody.

Sullinger suspended

The Boston Celtics have suspended Sully for Wednesday's opener in Toronto stemming from the domestic violence charges this summer.

For starters

Avery Bradley and Jeff Green were the shoe-ins as starters, but it looks like two wild cards have snuck into the opening line-up.

Charges dismissed

The domestic violence charges have been dropped against Jared Sullinger.

After last night's win against the Nets, Danny Ainge trimmed the roster down to 1e, releasing camp invites Damen Bell-Holter, Kammron Taylor, and DeShawn Sims.

In a candid interview with CBS Sports' Ken Berger, Celtics' GM Danny Ainge talks about the dust finally settling on the summer's big trade and the patience required in the rebuild.

Smartest, stingiest, and most likely to succeed

In a survey of all 30 GM's, several Celtics receive preseason honors.
