Behind the Steel Curtain what does the nation think?

Vernon Gholstien released by the bears, can we afford to spend time and money on a ressurection?? Obviously we dont spend alot on castoffs, but look at how it worked for Silverback and things turned out ok for us on that one!!
The idea of playing for a perrenial super bowl contender and being part of the black and gold tradition has its perks!! The thought of Belicheck picking him up and turning him into a monster is what prompted this; I'm hoping Tomlin beats him to the punch!!

Behind the Steel Curtain Heres' an interesting thought

What does the peanut gallery think about the idea of signing Mike Vick to an incentive laden one year contract?? I know there will be naysayers because he did a shitty thing and yeah we have a franchise qb and seem settled at the backup. But what about the idea that person deserves a second chance? What about the fact that he is only 29?We could certainly use him in sooooo many ways and the stability of our locker room could really help this guy get himself right.I honestly do not know but I think that Tomlin could really be the catalyst to save this guy??Proceed.

Behind the Steel Curtain What are the immediate needs for another run?

Obviously with Bmac moving west and Deebo looking for more coin there are two questions that need answered immediately. But the long term has some questions looming on the horizon;how long do we expect Hines to hang around?what kind of solutions is the fo coming up with regarding the o-line?The secondary and linebackers are soon to become a priority as far as age is concerned, and does anyone expect the d-line to continue to perform at the same high level without attrition and age becoming a factor? Also I'm curious; what do you think about the center from Penn State,I keep forgetting his name but was impressed at the times I saw him play?

Behind the Steel Curtain 0-line

I cant stop beatin this dead horse enough!! Lecharles Bently is still out there waiting for the Steelers call!!We could use a probowl caliber player.Granted the vikes do have one of the better d-lines i the league but we do have one helluva schedule we're lookin at!!I know those out there will say "no he's too much of a risk" but with high risk comes high reward, and we dont have to offer him too much, just load some incentives in.Seems like a no brainer to mee!!

Behind the Steel Curtain Prowlbowl center for sale;cheap!!

I'm probably gonna make some people mad for harping on this;but I still feel like we(Steelers) are making a  mistake by not giving Bently a shot at a roster spot.I realize there is the risk that he may never be the same player he once was, but at a league minimum and some incentive bonuses we could limit our losses.I simply feel like its' a horse worth betting on.The possibilities if this guy pans out are unlimited;he was a probowl caliber guard with the Saints.

Behind the Steel Curtain give it a shot

Someone please chime in,I'm probably no expert but I am praying every night that the Steelers front office will sign Lecharles Bentley to a non-guaranteed bonus laden contract and put him at guard. This only seems logical since we lost our best lineman and Charles was an allpro at guard and center.Even if he doesnt pan out what have we got to lose?? This could pan out to be a great pickup for the men of steel, and wouldnt Charles love to put it to the clownies twice a year!!
