I didn't get to watch the game last night because I live out of state so I have been pouring over any highlight video I can find the net.  I finally found Best's 15 yard scamper at the link here.

The best part is, watch Calvin come up and make a crack back block on the unsuspecting safety and just lay him out.

My guess is Calvin's been spending some time in the film room with the Predator watching Bennie Blades highlight films.

Pro Football Talk is reporting the Lions are working out a deal with Seattle to trade for Offensive Guard Rob Sims.  I've pasted the article below.  Anything to strengthen our Oline would be a great idea.  Mayhew is a modern Moses.

Lions considering a trade for Rob Sims Posted by Mike Florio on March 31, 2010 9:42 AM ET The Seahawks have been asking guard Rob Sims, a restricted free agent, to stay away from the facility.  In the interim, the Seahawks have been waiting/hoping for someone to sign him to an offer sheet or, alternatively, to work out a trade.

Jason La Canfora of NFL.com reports that the Lions could be the team to make the deal.

Per La Canfora, other teams are interested.

Sims has been tendered at the fourth-round level.  Earlier this month, the Seahawks traded defensive end Darryl Tapp

Pro Football talk is reporting there is a sufficient rumor in San Deigo CB Antonio Cromartie being traded to Detroit.

I love this move, although he has tackling issues this is a great upgrade. Thoughts?  

Did anybody heart about a combine terror?  I haven't much about the combine at all this weekend.  Maybe it's the Olympics, but it seems there just aren't the stories coming out of the combine like years past.

   I know that social networking sites by people in the limelight can be somewhat of a joke or a publicity stunt.  I made Zack Follett my friend on facebook, not sure why, but I thought it would be interesting.  Needless to say he posted this below:

  The above link is to an NPR story discussing the Lions win with Theo Gridiron Spite (forgive my spelling).  He even sings the fight song.  It's beautiful.

On a seperate note, everyone here and around the NFL is talking about how the Lions won a game but nobody is talking Chicago.  Dare I say, we just might get overlooked and sneak out a road win?  The Bears are inconsistent and when they are bad, they are just atrocious.  One could only dream!  I mean we haven't had back to back wins since practically Desert Storm.

I used to love Madden but haven't bought the game since it was worth buying for PS2.  I recently got a Wii and I hear that generally sports games like Madden don't perform well on the Wii.  All this talk about Madden being so great this year has got me really interested.  So has anyone bought it for the Wii?  How is it?  How are the graphics compared to what you should expect from teh PS3 version.  Please help, I'm at a crossroads.

what is with this 75 word crap.  I guess i should keep typing or have done a fanpost.  It's the first time i've created my own fan post.  I think I have got enough words.  late.  

For some reason I have been obsessed with trying to find out what I can about the new logo.  Unlike most of you who liked the "leaked" logo because it kept some of the "tradition" of the franchise.  I was hopind for a major overhaul of both the logo and the uniforms.  The lions have been openly trying to disassociate themselves from their own past and I commend them for it.  I am so sick of being the most pathetic franchise in sports. This off season has us heading in the right direction and I think Mayhew has made some fantastic moves. 

 That being said.....I went to the detroitlions.com and clicked on the "Store" tab.  The site has been shut down.  You are directed to a site the speaks of a new lions store coming soon.  It also gives you a place to enter your name and email so that you will be informed when the new site is up and running.  They will also send you a 10% off coupon.  I have yet to receive the email but wanted to spread the word.
