Chiefs fan from Los Angeles, California (626). I didn't know about football teams back then, so I followed where Joe Montana went and been a fan of the Chiefs ever since. It was also suiting because growing up in LA gave me a natural distaste of Raider fans. Not all, but most of them are just annoying and dumb (ie gangbangers) around where I used to live. It's been frustrating in recent years with how the team is doing. However, I still support them no matter what and it's nice to get randomly get shoutouts from other Chiefs fans when they see me wearing something Chiefs related.

Not Chiefs related, but a feel good story

"I was getting calls from like the Kansas City Chiefs, the Tennessee Titans, St. Louis Rams, Oakland Raiders, just a bunch of teams were — and I’m talking to my agent every three minutes," Harnish explains. "It looked like we were about ready to set up a free agency deal. I was ready to go to San Diego . . . .

Harnish had a deal with Chargers before Colts drafted him

44. Kansas City Chiefs: Brandon Weeden, QB, Oklahoma State

E-mailer Greg H. asked me which team I thought had the most talent on the roster outside of the quarterback position. I thought about it, and I came up with the Chiefs. They're pretty much stacked everywhere - except for that all-important signal-caller spot. It wouldn't hurt to add competition for Matt Cassel. I don't consider Brady Quinn competition.

Brandon Weeden makes sense because he's presumably ready to step in right away. The Chiefs can win the Super Bowl with good quarterback play, so they're not interested in someone they can groom for a couple of years.

This would be a perfect signing. Take away from a division foe, add depth to RB, AND his special teams play is excellent.

Kansas City Chiefs
Owen's picks: DE Glenn Dorsey and WR Dwayne Bowe
Actual selections: Bowe and LB Derrick Johnson. Had RB Jamaal Charles not been hurt, this would have been another easy two.

I sure hope Philip Rivers gets on the cover

Center of attention. The team's two top centers --10-year veteran Dan Koppen and Dan Connolly (fourth season with Patriots in 2011) -- are unrestricted free agents and it could come down to a choice of one or the other. Koppen missed almost all of 2011 with a foot injury sustained in the season opener, while the 29-year-old Connolly continues to develop and projects as more of a long-term option.

(Peter King's All-Pro Team)

My All-Pro team. As promised, here's the All-Pro team I filed to the Associated Press last Monday, the day after the regular season ended:

Linebackers: Tamba Hali, Kansas City, and DeMarcus Ware, Dallas (outside); Derrick Johnson, Kansas City, and NaVorro Bowman, San Francisco (inside). So many good players here, and I feel terrible for not including Terrell Suggs, who could have placed at either end or OLB. He's ferocious. Hali and Ware were special too, especially the day Hali terrorized Rodgers in Green Bay's only loss of the year.

4. Packers tight end Jermichael Finley last week on Tebow-mania: "I sit at home, start watching TV and all I'm seeing is Tebow. That's kind of disturbing. We have a guy here that's breaking records every week and you have a guy in Tebow that's saying 'God' every word and he gets coverage. ... He's telling everybody what they want to hear. You see him and he's patting everybody on the back saying, 'You're going to make this catch. I promise because God said,' and he makes it happen. Stuff like that. It confuses people. People that don't know the game outside of the fans, of course they're going to hype it up. But guys that see a good player and a good quarterback, they know what kind of guy he'll be down the road when he gets exposed. Everybody who knows the game knows what kind of player Tebow is going to be."

Finley had four drops Sunday and the Packers lost to the 5-8 Chiefs. An effective, yet merciful, smiting.

That revelation was made in the book "War Room’’ by Michael Holley. Dimitroff spent years working under Belichick in New England’s front office. When pondering the trade, Dimitroff called his mentor and was told the cost of trading up for Jones was too great.

The cost of moving from No. 27 to No. 6 was sending that No. 27 pick, along with second- and fourth-round choices this year and first and fourth-round picks in 2012 to Cleveland. Belichick told Dimitroff to sit still and take Jonathan Baldwin at No. 27. As it turned out Baldwin went to the Chiefs at No. 26.

This also shows that Belichick did not think Baldwin was a bad pick at 27...Can't wait to read this book...

Carson Palmer threw 3INTs in the 2nd half vs the Chiefs. The last Raider QB to throw 3INTs in a half was Kyle Boller in the 1st half.

Now for those clamoring for Stanzi, I thought it was funny what the writer put down as his NFL Comparison: Matt Cassel

In fact, although few people noticed it because the Lions abused the Chiefs 48-3, Chiefs defensive end Tamba Hali abused Lions left tackle Jeff Backus on Sunday. Hali hit Stafford just as Stafford was passing six times, and former NFL offensive lineman Mark Schlereth said on ESPN’s NFL Live today that he saw major problems with Backus when breaking down the tape of Sunday’s game.

2. Kansas City -- This one's a little tough to digest. Eight months ago the Chiefs were a playoff team, coming off a sensational 10-6 season that earned them a division championship. But that was then, and this is now, and now they're in disarray. They just lost safety Eric Berry for the season. They lost tight end Tony Moeaki for the season. They lost to Buffalo ... at home, no less, where they were 7-1 a year ago. And it wasn't just a defeat; it was a blowout. Worse, it was to ...Buffalo. Obviously, they can right themselves quickly because they did a year ago. But there are disturbing signs that make me wonder if that's possible. I already pegged them as a team that would slide. I didn't think it would be this far.

-------------

It would be nice to have a potential true franchise QB, but the Chiefs will win enough games to be out of this sweepstakes. There's enough talent and leadership on the team to prevent the Chiefs from being on the absolute bottom. See where the team drafted in 2009 and 2010. You can't say this team is worse than those two rosters that landed those draft positions. Go Chiefs!

Bills have been preparing for the raucous crowd at Arrowhead Stadium by playing loud music during their practices this week. "We'll have to use our silent (snap count)," coach Chan Gailey said. "I know it'll be loud when we get there, so you just have to understand that and go back to business." Bills RapidReports by Mark Ludwiczak

RB Javarris Williams and WR Devard Darling were added to the roster and participated in Friday morning's workouts. Williams was a seventh round pick of the Chiefs in 2009 and was on the Seahawks' practice squad last season. Darling is a six-year pro who has 37 career receptions with the Ravens and Chiefs

"Actually, we yapped too much and never really got to finish the winners. But I love what the Falcons, Chiefs, Rams, and Saints have done for the record. Glad I got that out of my system."

"Of the 32 teams, I was surprised how poorly a lot of them did. The "A" grades I handed out were to five teams. They were the Atlanta Falcons, Carolina Panthers, Kansas City Chiefs, New York Giants and New Orleans Saints."

Q: What does this mean for C Casey Wiegmann?

PIOLI: "We haven’t talked to Casey. I can’t talk about the players who have contracts that have expired. I don’t know what his situation is but I don’t think it means anything. When we draft players or sign other free agents, we are going to get as many good players as we can. I am glad that you brought that up because please don’t ever read into us drafting players or us signing other players as it being the swan song or the certain end of any other players. I think it would be really unfair to the player and certainly inaccurate from our standpoint. And again, the fact that we haven’t had the chance to talk to players, that is pretty premature. I’m glad you asked the question because I want to be crystal clear on that. Please don’t read into that with him and players at other positions."

Q: Is this team now in a position where it can look for guys without considering character first?

HALEY: "I don’t think that occurred last year. As we have said a number of times, it is something that is always going to be important to us and we obviously believe that Jonathan Baldwin has Kansas City Chief character or he wouldn’t be a part of this team now. But last year with the way some things fell and guys were captains and those things, it looked and worked out very well. But like I said, this Jonathan Baldwin is our type of guy so we are excited about him coming and being a part of what we are doing here and trying to get us to where we want to go which is championships."

"So the Chiefs ended up looking smart by going against the grain of traditional thinking and executing a high-risk maneuver that made Berry, at No. 5, the earliest pick of a safety in NFL history."
