Well uhm yeah. There was a freebie goal of ridiculousness in the third making the final damage 3-1 instead of 2-1. I'm still posting this song. This sucks. I feel like we were beat by lobotomized chimps. I don't even have it in me to write a brief summary of what happened. Chemmy will do it. He was there. Happy holidays, love WAC.

The Leafs sure like scoreless first periods. Jonas Gustavsson and the pipes made some great saves. We spent most of the first trying to figure out where Chemmy is sitting. Second period thread and go.

You know, I totally get that the Leafs are more than just a sports team and encompass something greater. But I do have to tell there is the faction of the fandom I cannot tolerate. And really, they occupy a spot for all teams. Those who think they are the effing GM and bandy about ridiculous trades and go on about alleged inside information.

Hey guys, reading Eklund is letting the terrorists win. I'm tired of those who are content to marinate in their misery and talk about how over this team they are. Ok, leave. You're like the person who complains constantly about their relationship and goes on about how tomorrow, no the day after they are getting out. But stays because it is easy and moving boxes is hard work and you don't know anyone with a truck.

Don't get me wrong I love this team through and through. But like gambling and jell-o shots and Home Shopping Network, know your limit and don't get consumed by your fandom that it ruins you. Because you know what? It makes you a not pleasant person to be around. You poison the well with your constant and circular rantings. Plus you lack witticism and bon mots. There is a reason why I remind people to "keep it cute or put it on mute." It is for the greater good.

So in the meanwhile;

The Leafs are at the Islanders and here is hoping it is more like the Caribbean and less like Alcatraz. In any case, why is the rum gone? Is Long Island like Jersey Shore? These are just thoughts I have. Let's enjoy this game. Please remember to be funny and relevant and thoughtful. Rec and comments you see fit this criteria so I can bring back the Burkies. The Buffalo Sabres still have the Leafs number, once again beating Toronto. A solid effort that lacked an insurance goal in the third leading Buffalo to score late and force overtime. Luke Schenn was supremely present and Viktor Stalberg continues to make himself on of the most lovable Leafs. But it was the Sabres who would be successful in the overtime.

How hot is Jonas Gustavsson? Fuhrealz.

Well, aren't we all getting friendly and cozy. Apparently the NHL doesn't like to keep it fresh because once again it is the Leafs and the Sabres. Blah blah blah Ryan Miller versus Jonas Gustavsson. This is all a bit deja vu. What? I said, this is all a bit deja vu.

I know there has been much discussion and debate about Luke Schenn. Obviously I don't like hearing ugly talk about him. But I can't help but wonder if there are contributing factors affecting how we analyze Schenn. So, is it because the Leafs are much better (in some aspects, bear with me) this season that he looks worse? Or is it because the team was in rough shape last year and he looked that much better? Discuss.
