yeah this is a most unfortunate(i.e. sucky) time to be a fan of texas tech football. yeah some of us optimist(also known as "asshats" according to blackbeard-love you too-) are coming off as just blind supporters of the team. "you are drinking the koolaid WAY too much, you a tubs apologist, talking about championships, he's a two-faced liar, WHITE HELMETS." yeah we get it, he promised you gold, you got tin foil(in your opinion). i would like to kindly remind everyone that we are JUST FOUR GAMES INTO THE SEASON, and the sky is already falling. we sound like the teasips over at BON. Im not defending the staff for i too want this offense firing on all cylinders, i want to have a running game, i want to see sticks play more, i want this D to get better every week. i want that elusive outright division and conference title. i want that BCS game. i want that national championship. we all do. things will get worse before they get better. i feel like this season is the worst part of the equation...the subsequent seasons after will be better. I believe in katfish. others prefer the captain. i feel its not fair to judge to current staff after 4 games in. Im a wait and see kinda guy. others arent so patience. i think why this season is crap so far is because its a microcosm of things: new staff, new schemes, new faces on both sides of the ball, basically a lot of unknown. I am scaling back my outlook for this team. I just want this team to go to a bowl game and win. if they do, then i will call this a ok season. we should be expecting more from this current crop of players but they just arent delivering. so everyone just needs to crawl from the wreckage and wait for the help to arrive. it is coming.

This is the sense that i get from the consensus of the DTN faithful. There is cause for concern, but no need to slam on the brakes.
