This is kinda interesting. It's an abbreviated evolutionary history of throwing things. Somewhat of an ultra baseball nerd article. I didn't really know whether to laugh or not, but it's good offseason fodder to fill your day with.

The author of the blog is Garrett Broshius, a guy that has spent the past 5 1/2 years in the Giants minor league system. This is a very, very interesting article. Some Dominican trainers - or "buscones", as they're known - are turning cash payments from Big League signing bonuses into money for drug trafficking. No overlap with the Broncos game. It's the 4th MLB game of the day on TBS' schedule. As it stands, 1st pitch is scheduled for 8:07 PM MDT from Coors Field. Forecast for Sunday is rain/snow showers and a high of 48. No makeup plans announced if Saturday's Game 3 is postponed.

Awful, awful, awful. Ok, Berthiaume picks Yanks/Cards, which is alright, and it's actually not a bad article, but it's incomplete. He examines teams that are "contending" and says why they won't make it. AL - he examines LAA, DET, BOS, and NYY. NL - PHI, LAD, STL. That's it. Not even a mention of the Rox. Apparently only 3 NL teams make the postseason.

A review of the book that is close to the hearts of Rockies fans on my FanNation blog. For those that don't know, Heart of the Game is a book about Mike Coolbaugh and Tino Sanchez, the man that hit the foul ball that took Coolbaugh's life on July 22, 2007. It is a tremendous book.

This is an awesome article about Jim Balsillie. Whether you agree or not, Bourne does give a pretty good account of why Balsillie shouldn't be allowed in. I don't agree nor disagree, as I can see the point on both sides, it's interesting.
