there is absolutely no reason to not go after a qb other than the people at the top don't want one because everybody knows that w/ jacko and frerotte interest in the team will hit rock bottom, no stadium will be built and the vikings will be off to f-ing l.a. there is money to be made there and the people of minnesota have shown time and time again that the vikings are low on their list of priorities. it's obvious to me. we have a superbowl caliber team except for the qb position and were not going to try to get that upgraded? are they out of their fucking minds? A.D. is in his prime, our defense is ferocious and we need 1 piece to get us deep into the playoffs and we aren't making an effort to find that piece? F you childress, F you spielman. you built a 1-15 team down there in miami and now your taking a potential deep playoff run and down grading it to another 1 and done playoff run next year. we can't get there w/ the qb's you jack asses have picked. i have been waiting my whole life to see the vikings win the big one and everytime we are close there is an f-ing idiot like you two standing in the way. i don't want to see the L.A. vikings win the superbowl, i want the minnesota vikings to have chance to get there. am i the only one that is disgusted that the bucs won it before we did, the bucs! the god damn bucs! now we have the cards who through solid coaching and solid talent scouting were in the superbowl. the cards are historically the worst team in the league. they have sucked since the 20's and a good coach and an eye for talent turned them around, and here we are again "jackson has made progress". F YOU childress!!!

first of all i would hate to see the vikings move. especially to l.a. but if they do move i hope they stay the vikings. there won’t be an expansion team in minnesota if the team leaves so if minnesota tries to keep the vikings name there will be no vikings anymore. the state won’t help build a stadium now, they sure won’t build one later when the cost has doubled plus have to outbid other cities for the right to have an nfl franchise. i see omaha having an expansion team before minnesota gets another one. i am a vikings fan and have been all my life but i am becoming so disillusioned with the state of minnesota and their lack of regard for the franchise. i would be more than happy to donate a sum equal to what the average minnesotan pays in tax increases for the new stadium as i believe many out of state fans would to help keep the vikings in minnesota. somebody should look into setting something like that up. at .1 or .2% increase the amount would be neglegible. not near what i spend to take my family to at least one game a year from wyoming. if the vikings end up moving it will take awhile to get used to it but i will remain a vikings fan for life.

as a life long viking fan i have watched our team be so close so many times. all the superbowl losses, all the seasons that were so promising only to fall flat at the end. at the end of every season i am convinced that next year is going to be the year. i don't feel that way this year. i can't see us getting to the big game w/ childress calling the shots. had he made decent decisions as to who would be the starting qb and brought someone in that was decent we could be sitting were the cardinals are now. if he would have at least tried i'd feel a little better about it. i am a 37 year old fan that has never rooted for another team i suffered through watching the bucs win a superbowl and now the cards are in one too. 2 of the historically worst franchises in the nfl have been or are going to the big game. besides the cards phenominal receivers and good qb, the cards have nothing on the vikings talent wise. what they do have is a good coach that the players and the fans believe in. a good coach makes a team. we do not have the coach that will get us to where we want to be.

there is a key vote soon for the building of the new stadium in l.a. roski has planned this stadium in the city of industry because there are only 84 registered voters and he has his real estate company there as well. it seems obvious to me that it would be very easy for a billionaire like roski to grease a few palms and get this done. 84 palms don't take much grease. it's going to happen, he will get his stadium. he say's he will make no proposal's to current nfl teams until his the vote passes and the stadium is a go. the proposed opening date is 2012. that date should be familiar to everyone on this site. something needs to be done in minnesota to assure that the vikings will stay there. whether its a comprimise of a lower priced stadium or add luxury boxes to the metrodome. something needs to be done. it seems that the people of minnesota have grown numb of threats to move the team by past ownership and don't take it seriously. many people in minnesota don't seem to care. minnesota is on the shortlist of the 8 teams he is courting. oakland, buffalo and minnesota are the top three. if you live in minnesota you need to make some noise about the stadium or you'll be watching packers games all year, drunk and crying about old times. the rest of us can only hope that the state of minnesota will pull it's head out of it's ass and get a stadium deal done.

aren't we all tired of childress' "lose first, win if the other team can't" offense?" this team has so much talent. (except at the qb position) we are going nowhere as long as chilly is at the helm. it's sad but true. we are wasting peterson and we are wasting our shot to get to the promise land. we are still a decent qb and coach away from having a championship caliber team. until we have a qb and coach we will continue to underachieve and the timing couldn't be worse. we have a stadium to earn and it isn't going to happen w/ our current situation. goodbye minnesota vikings, hello l.a. vikings in 2012

what a difference a "C" level qb can make for an otherwise great team. gus performed admirably today. he made the throws jacko couldn't. there was a zip on his passes that you don't see from jacko. e.j. henderson is a beast! holy crap can that man play football!!! i hope gus can continue his level of play but i do believe we need to bring in garcia if at all possible. what we do not need is jacko back on the field. also, i am hoping for a turn around this season BUT, i don't want a turn around to save chilly's job.

we all know gus is not the answer. we all also know that jacko never was. chilly is the george bush of football. he is running our team into the ground. for him to be so stuck on jacko and not pursue another qb during the offseason is inexcusable. granted there were no top tier qb's out there but there were several better than anyone we have now. i hope chilly gets the axe at the end of the season. if our team doesn't put fans in the seats, this team is headed to a city that they can. losing teams don't fill stadiums. what else have we done since chilly arrived?
