Alas, the after thought of Pacman Jones
At the beginning of the season, I was a huge proponent of going after Pacman. His numbers aren’t that great, but he has made some impact plays this season and stayed out of trouble for the most part.
Would I still want him now? Yeah, honestly, but at the same time I don’t see the urgent need for him like I did at the beginning of the season. Who I would toss to give him a spot was a complete headache to think about.
The point is, as adamant as I was that we should have gone after him, I’m glad to see we don’t need him.
I will eat crow, but only if it’s medium-rare and served with garlic mashed potatoes and steamed asparagus.
Why trade down?
Alot of people think the Lion's should trade down for more picks and honestly, I'm having a hard time wondering why. At the No.2 pick they have a shot at Suh,Berry, and McCoy. Aside from Haden, who would could come in and make an immediate impact on the defense that's better than those three? McCoy is considered a prospect by alot of guys here, but I think he can come in and make an immediate impact, possibly earn a starting position. At the top of the second, they have a shot at a first round talent if there lucky. While I agree, a couple extra picks would be nice, I don't think they should trade out of No.2 or trade away any picks. Quantity does not always equal quality, and the lions need quality guys right now.
Anyway, just my 2 cents on the subject. Feel free to tell me why I'm wrong or otherwise.
