Will Svitek strikes again!
Steps on Matt Ryans ankle to take him out of the game...temporarily as of now.
Dear Kansas City Chiefs fans,
Now I am not normally the one to type up any kind of journalistic masterpiece and many will soon discover that this is my first piece i have put together but at this point in time I don't feel I can keep my mouth shut any longer. Let me start out by saying, YES! I am as sick and tiered of seeing our team lose week after week, shades of Herm and Vermiel are popping into my head lately. If you comb the open threads, after the game you will see i also made a few comments about cutting Cassel, unfortunately sarcasm doesn't translate on the internet too well. IF you read those, you would probably think I wasn't joking. I just want to express my opinions about Cassel, the game today, and where we need to go from here. Lets dive on in!

Interesting discussion about Pat Tillman's chance for the Hall of Fame.
Elliot Harrison thinks if Pat Tillman gets in so should Chiefs RB Joe Delaney.
Looking for info....
Does anyone have any info on the contract Chambers signed with us. Its just till the end of this year with the Chargers paying for him since we claimed him off waivers right? Im still not sure how the waiver wire works.
Flowers injury????
Has anyone heard anything more than "a shoulder injury." Commentators on TV said they just "saw enough of him"
Toomer inks deal!?!?!
via z.about.com
According to John Clayton over at ESPN, Toomer has signed a 1 year deal.
"Amani Toomer has signed a deal with the Kansas City Chiefs, according to source. It is a one-year deal.
Toomer, who has played all 13 of his seasons with the New York Giants, has 668 career receptions for 9,497 yards and 54 touchdowns."

What do you guys think, i know a lot of you were worried about getting Jackson in first. Personally i think this is a good move. Engram and Toomer can split time and still bring that leadership quality while pushing the young guys to work to get the spot between them and D. Bo.
"Why would they sign Cassel now???" nay-sayers.
few month reader, first time 'blogger' (ever), converted from warpath...take that goldzone haha
I was just on nfl.com and read a post about why we signed Cassel. The post read...
jurggy: "... why? he had ONE good season, ONE. w/ a GREAT offensive mind w/ two AMAZING recievers and he put up big numbers. DUH. shoulda kep him a year, and paid him if he delieverd again. too much too soon guys."
I noticed I finally had to respond to someone with my own opinion. I replied, "The reason they did not wait another year is, IF he does good this year, he would be open to ANYONE at any price. They needed to lock him up now b/c this franchise is building around this QB. Even if he is not that good this year, he is gonna have another year of experience, get paid at the same pay grade he was going to make this year anyway, and with time have passing, next off-season, he would have the opportunity for other elite talent to join in the reconstruction of the Kansas City franchise. d'uh."
Just curious if this is the same sentiment most Chiefs fans have? I am still not in KC but i feel like its my home away from home. (both sides of my family reside there) I try to stay on top of everything the team does, but i am far enough away where i still don't really know any Chiefs fans here to ask these questions.
