Wooden’s humor touched many
This is an excellent recap of today's memorial for Coach. The humor that all the speakers spoke of today is just another example of how Coach lived a balanced life. We all miss you Coach, but are happy that you are finally with your beloved.

NCAA rejects Memphis’ final appeal of vacated wins
It just makes me sick that an ineligible team was able to compete in the NCAA tournament and ultimately cost us another shot at #12. I understand that we didn't take care of our own business on the court, but I still think we matched up better against Kansas in the final. Not to mention, we probably would have had a more manageable match up in the semi-finals. I still hold out hope that the NCAA will get it right one of these days, and catch ineligible players ahead of time.
OT: SPTRs strike again. Outside of the PAC-10.
I happened to be in Kentucky visiting some friends and ended up going to the game between WKU and Houston last night. The game was pretty entertaining and could have had one of the best finishes I've seen had it not been for the officiating. After watching tons of PAC-10 games, something about the officiating felt very familiar to me. One of the officials makes a phantom foul call and proceeds to call a technical foul on WKU, which handed the victory to Houston after WKU tied the game. After doing a little research I found out that the official that made the call was none other than one our own SPTRs, Bill Kennedy. I have to thank the guy for making me feel at home and once again showing another part of the country how bad our "referees" truly are. Take a look at the comments people have made on the link provided. It truly doesn't look good for our conference when we have these guys officiating our games.
Rumor: Utah Utes to the new PAC-12, along with...
To me the second school listed in this story does not make sense. As we know, Utah, has been a school who has been mentioned in the possible PAC-10 expansion and makes sense regionally for the most part. However, the second school listed in the USA Today has left me scratching my head.
O’Bannon case could be a game changer
The US district court has denied the NCAA's plea to dismiss Ed O'Bannon's lawsuit against them. The lawsuit is over the use of former players' image and likeness in everything from video games to any other media that the NCAA produces. This isn't the first time that the NCAA has been sued over this issue. If you recall, Sam Keller sued the NCAA over the use of current players' image and likeness in NCAA related video games.
Trojan Times, What's your deal?
For the first time in years, I was compelled to write to the MSM, primarily a said columnist who has taken this opportunity to trash our Coach and his decision to call a time out. A decision that would have been applauded had it been the so-called coach across town. No links will be provided to that dirtbag who wrote the trash of a column. Follow me after the jump and read my letter to the "columnist."

Kahlil Bell debuts for the Bears
Former Bruin, Kahlil Bell, has made his debut for the Chicago Bears and did so by breaking away for 72 yard rush. Great to see our former Bruins who were overlooked in the NFL draft finding success at the next level. Go Bruins!
Leno Takes shot at the other school accross town.
I was watching the new Jay Leno show and he took a great shot at u$c. He said that u$c now stands for Unable to Score Consistently. You gotta love new Leno Show. Go Bruins.
NCAA places Alabama football program on probation
Alabama, a high profile program, gets placed on probation. Could this mean that u$c is next. Probably not. The NCAA just continues to find other cases to deal with, instead of dealing with the big elephant in the room.

NCAA accuses Memphis Tigers of violations
Looks like the NCAA keeping itself busy going after Memphis. When will they finally announce what should be coming u$c's way?
Congratulations, Men's Volleyball Seniors
After a number of disappointing outings against usc, our Men's Volleyball team was finally able to break through against their crosstown rivals. The win did not come easy in a game that was a true reflection of what the season has been like. This game was full of emotional highs and lows and a number of very questionable calls by the officals. Our Bruins managed to pull out one of the guttiest victories of the year, by doing so, they were able to close out the home careers of this year's batch of seniors on a high note with a win against the crosstown rivals. Once again, congratulations to the seniors.
Arizona, traditional powerhouse?
I'm watching Around the Horn on the WWL, and I heard Jay Mariotti call Arizona the "traditional powerhouse" of the PAC-10, when he was talking about Timmay turning down Arizon job. Once again, the MSM fails to recognize the true traditional powerhouse of the PAC-10. If you want to talk about tradition look no further than comparing 11 NCAA Basketball championships to the "standard's" 1 NCAA title. Doesn't surprise me that they try to make it seem as if USC is closing the gap on UCLA basketball.
