Football Outsiders' - WEEK 2 DYAR BEST AND WORST

8

(ESPN Insider required) According to Football Outsiders' Brandon Weeden was the best QB by their metric after this week after being the worst last week. Joe Flacco was also the 2nd worst this week (only beating the absurd performance of Jay Cutler) after being the 5th best in week 1. Football Outsiders' credits this to the difference between our Defense and Cincinnati's, which seems to say our defense has been incredible (or Cincy is terrible) which is pretty impressive. "Three surprising players- QB: Brandon Weeden, Cleveland Browns A week ago in this space, we told you that Weeden was the league's worst quarterback in Week 1, and now we are telling you that he was the league's best quarterback in Week 2. That's largely because he played Cincinnati this week after his first game against Philadelphia, and these two games will look different when we apply opponent adjustments to DYAR. (Joe Flacco also looked much worse against the Eagles than he did against the Bengals.) Weeden went 26-of-37 for 322 yards against Cincinnati, with two touchdowns, two sacks and no interceptions. In one stretch over the third and fourth quarters, he completed 12 passes in a row for 178 yards, two touchdowns and seven other first downs."
