Niners Nation First Quarter is Key

Ok the first 2 games have proven that the Niners need to settle in sooner. I don't know if it is a pregame speech with too much amp or complacency, but the mistakes have shown bright in the first quarter. The positives are the minimal penalties, but the downside is the one or two BIG mistakes made early that have killed the team. The Seahawk game was obvious complacency by the team and coaches, the Saints game was a pregame speech or over amp'd team. Either way, if we control it we will have to be reckoned with and early control of the game.

Niners Nation Alex is OK

All the press for the Alex is or Alex isn't. Alex Smith will prove he is worthy of the starting QB role the rest this year..The coaching staff has finally drafted the goods on the o line and Alex is accurate. He can run, and is tough. The reason he got injured was the line was letting ol-lay sacks happen.........Apptitude. Anyone who has met and played with Alex has said this guy is smart and he is willing to do what he can.......give him time and we will win the west.

Niners Nation Dropped Passes and Alligator Arms

I am going to take a break from all the inadequacies of Alex Smith. What about all of the dropped passes in the last few games? We need playmakers. The game changers are the 2nd and 3rd down passes that were either dropped or pulled back on with the alligator arm syndrome. I realize that accuracy and other factors....blah....blah.....blah. but as a fan you are looking for the momentum changers that are in those drops. Some of these passes could have been caught. Not all but some to change the game. It must measured against the QB because those are factors that affect the outcome.

Niners Nation Yorks and the Snyders Go away

Glaring similarities with the ownership of  two teams.  Flailing offenses decent defenses and no wins.  The roots at the top are rotted with the excuses of "we are getting there and rebuilding."  Coaching is weak.....not motivational end.....but the execution end.  The firings need to start with the personnel department and then the Yorks need a long vacation. 3 or 4 years.  You are not doing the system any favors.  This is the NFL, there are 17 games and you need to have winners 17 weeks. Go away, I hate being related to a team that thinks they are better than they are.

Niners Nation Team Sport?

I'm going out on a limb here....and probably going to break it off.  I have read alot of Alex Smith this and Alex Smith that.  It is a team sport folks.  Was Alex on Defense? Was Alex on Special Teams?  Alex did have touchdowns, interceptions and fumbles. First downs, Third downs, Fourth downs.  He lead the team and failed to get the win? Did Alex lose in games he never played in yes. It is a team sport folks.

Where is the Team in the rest of this?  It's a team sport.  I think if you look at the whole team including the coaches we have a good team.  Not a great one, but a good team.  To put the last 4 losses on Alex or the QB position is ludacris.  We will show up next game and we need to get the job done on all levels.  Fans too.

Niners Nation Running Game off tackle

I have noticed something in the last few games. Running up the middle vs off tackle. We have called almost 90% of our runs up inside the tackles. I know that we have been successful up the middle 3 or 4 times(ie Frank-the-beast-Gore) but I do feel that we would also benefit from some off tackle runs with TE seal blocks. Especially now that VD has alot of respect. Let the Goreinator do something in space.

Niners Nation Pass Rush = No?

Make a Play How is there no pass rush>?

Manny Lawson and Smith need to get to the QB..  We have a good reactive defense but the push upfront needs to be there.  If you look at the past few games we need to get to the QB.  Rush and control the line.  We can shut down the off tackle, but the pass rush is what you need to lead the games down the stretch.

Niners Nation Minnesota defeat starts with the O LINE

Looking at the start of the season it is evident that Singletary and the Men are set out the make a statement.  One of the things that jumps off the page this week is how protecting Shaun Hill will be a critical measure of the offense this week.

We have to eliminate the potential for sacks and hurries and we have a great opportunity to get the offense(passing game) going. The secondary in Minnesota is still a work in progress......so lets exploit them.

The O LINE AND TIGHT ENDS HAVE TO WIN THE BATTLE ONE ON ONE.

Niners Nation Building Finish

I am encouraged to see the transformation in the last 3 games.  It appears that Singletary is quickly putting the pieces together.

Coming out with a gameplan and executing quickly. Making Martz force to maintain consistancy.  Working on the defense to fly around the ball.

This last 2 quarters of football is the next step.  Finish.  Jog off the field. No stupid penalties and no stupid turnovers. Finish, no thre and outs. Finish with a strong pass rush and sacks.

He is teaching beyond the sidelines and building the synergy we need.

I look forward to this next game and the rest of the transformation.  I said weeks ago that a team to be successful has to bring intimidation to the opponent and we are seeing the start of that.

Niners Nation Into their Heads

Say what you will Singletary will have them(niners) playing at a higher level.  Accountibility, decisiveness, and charisma.  I have always watched the coaches that get into the players heads and they always get further than the ones that don't.  You can have all the concepts in the world but if do not have the courage to Lead you will be Led.

Singletary has the charisma and character to get it done.........Albeit too late with the ship going down this season he will get a majority on board and at least weed out the non football players.

Niners Nation JT RIP

I am satisfied. We needed this change b4 the start at Seattle.  Early mistakes and Mental Errors won't cut it!!!!! We need to get our D on the field to Finish! Tackle and get a god damn pass rush.  Get to Work and Finish!!!! It is ridiculous to blame the JT debacle on him alone......but he is the poster child for the lack of discipline we need to have any chance of showing up.  Come on Niners!!!!! Please get your rest and come out swinging on Monday against the Cards. I will be there and I want a win!!!

Niners Nation Now lets Bench JT

Singletary make a statement......use Gore and bench JT....Please shake it up. We need to intimidate our opponents. You have the D? You have the offensive experience. We have a chance to mix this divison up.  Arizona is a very unstable division opponent as is the Rams. Bench him and let's get this season back. Gore in the strong off tackle and the blast up the middle.  He loves to hit someone. Get it to the playmakers. Vernon Davis is a great unselfish blocker, why don't we run off to his side? Go Niners!!!!!

Niners Nation Statement Game= Momentum

I have been ultra negative about things lately. I was thinking today.......what if>?  The Niners have all of the weapons and all of the right players and  now we can make a statement in this  game.  We got that mojo we showed a little during the Seahawks game.....the Browns opened the door and we need to close the deal.  There is no doubt we can run....or come close to running the table for the rest of the season. Lets make a STATEMENT rest on the bye and RUN THE TABLE.

Niners Nation Time for Singletary

Let's get some leadership back.... The sense of urgency. Change.....You know Nolan won't be the coach next year.....we let Mariucci go after a playoff run and you won't release the worst coach we have had since the 70's? Come on now. Singletary can rally the Team.  4 and 12, 4 and 12, I'm sick of it!!! Let's Start over now,now,now....Go Niners!!!!! Make it a Season!!!!

Niners Nation Nolan Needs to Learn the QB

Niners have been successful when the QB has a good relationship with the head coach. Maybe the Coach will heed the call and wake up.  We can only win so many games based on the D.  The big games and the big years have been when teams have been intimidated by the coach and the QB. Step up and intimidate the opponent or get out of the NFL. Have a game plan that sets you apart from other teams. Defense is reactive..... Most offenses are proactive. You will learn by Mike Martz, who was feared by opponents. Bill Walsh, George Siefert, and even Marriuci could initmidate. I've seen you get in the face of your D. Why won't you jack up the QB during game time and make them play better? Let's mix it up. Fine more players and wake um up. ACCOUNTABILITY!!!!!!

Niners Nation Get The Team Ready Nolan!?

Nolan needs to get in with team

I have watched Nolan’s blunders long enough. If I have to watch on more press conference in which he says " I don’t know I’ll have to watch the film." I am going to lose it. Wasn’t he there? He does not have the ability to get the team ready as a team. All he has to his record is the ability to stack the D with a bunch of pompus self serving secondary. As for the offense…….if Mike Martz will even be on the team next year maybe he will get an offense line that is ready to play. Whatever….I will continue to give up 3.5 per sunday to relieve my frustrations but at least I’m prepared.
