Seth Rollins continues to play the unlikable bad guy perfectly. He tried to run away from Dean Ambrose, and ultimately beat him on Sunday night by hitting him in the head with a metal briefcase.
The Shield were the best wrestling faction in half a decade from a storyline perspective, and perhaps the greatest ever as far as the standard of wrestling goes. They were the biggest reason that a lot of fans tuned in to WWE every week, so when Seth Rollins turned on Dean Ambrose and Roman Reigns, a lot of people were really upset. IT'S STILL REAL TO ME, DAMMIT.
Reigns has been on a main event path for quite some time, so it made sense that the breakup of The Shield led to Reigns going in a different direction while Rollins feuded with Ambrose. They were supposed to have a match at the last pay-per-view, but instead, just had a long series of outside-the-ring brawls. Apparently, that's why Ambrose chose a Lumberjack match after winning a Beat The Clock challenge to choose the stipulation for this match -- he didn't want Rollins running away.

But instead, the Lumberjack stipulation led to a massive brawl outside the ring involving all of the lumberjacks. Ambrose suplexed Rollins outside the ring, stage dived through a sea of lumberjacks, then ran across the announce tables and flew over the barricade to get to Rollins, who was out there for some reason. They climbed up into the stands, which led to Director of Operations Kane coming out to tell the lumberjacks to get into the stands and drag the competitors back to the ring. They were successful ... until Ambrose jumped off the top turnbuckle to the outside to take out Rollins and half the lumberjacks.
There was a brief bit of in-ring action, including Ambrose hitting Rollins' curb stomp on the man who's famous for performing it, but it wasn't enough to secure him a win.
Kane -- who, by the way, is loosely affiliated with The Authority along with Rollins -- tried to restore order and was unsuccessful. His intervention led to a huge brawl and a distracted Ambrose, who didn't see Rollins grab his Money in the Bank briefcase. He smacked Ambrose in the face with it, which was good enough to earn him a pin.
This probably isn't the end of the feud between these two. It has legs for many more months.
