Carl Haas Is Back

With all the stuff going on with DEI drivers lately, this little story quietly passed us by.

Carl Haas is back in NASCAR (in particular - The Busch Series), and he has some serious backing with him this time. The new team owners are Carl A. Haas, co-owner of the Champ Car World Series' Newman/Haas Racing; his former NASCAR partner and former Cup champion crew chief Travis Carter; Mari Hulman George, chairman of the board of the Indianapolis Motor Speedway Corporation; and Chicago businessman Michael T. Lanigan, president of The Mi-Jack Companies.

Some mighty important people from the aut racing industry I must say.

The driver for this team none other than Hulman George's Grandson, 20 year old Kyle Krisiloff.

The team purchased several cars from ppc Racing, which closed their doors at the end of this past Busch and Cup seasons. The team also purchased the 14th-place Busch owner points earned in 2006, which guarantees them a starting position in the first five races of the season. They will be using Roush-Yates Racing Engines and receive Ford factory backing. - sources NASCAR.com and kylekrisiloff.com with the picture from kylekrisiloff.com too.
