This is how fantasy superstardom ends. This is how fantasy superstardom ends. This is how fantasy superstardom ends. Not with a bang, but a coaching announcement.
↵Fantasy owners should not be surprised that Westbrook will reportedly split carries with talented rookie LeSean McCoy. After all, Westbrook is so fragile at this point in his career that limiting his wear and tear seems like the best decision, and McCoy has shown himself to be a more than capable back in Westbrook's absence. But still, for owners who drafted Westbrook in the second or third round hoping for one last hurrah, this hurts. At this point, we don't know what type of timeshare Andy Reid will employ, or who will get the goal line carries, so Westbrook could very well retain value as a strong RB2. But for now, this much is clear: Westbrook's days as an elite fantasy back are over.
