↵Dwyane Wade was, as noted in big red type above, insane. He had 50 points, 10 rebounds, nine assists, four steals and two blocks. He became the top scorer in Heat history, and took more FGAs (39) in one game than any Heat player in history.

↵About those nine assists ... as Miami took a hefty lead in the third OT, the Sun Sports broadcast crew noted that Wade's MVP rival, LeBron James, dropped 50 last night and earlier this season came one rebound away from a 50-point triple double. They noted (perhaps jokingly) that someone showed Wade a box score in the final huddle, with the Heat up 11 with less than 30 seconds left.

↵Off a Jazz miss, Wade took the ball down to the left elbow and fired a wild alley-oop attempt to a teammate. Play-by-play dude Eric Reid noted (accurately) that Wade wanted that triple double. As the Jazz ran down with the ball, color analyst Tom Fiorentino exclaimed that Wade doesn't care about anything but winning.

↵It seemed to me he cared about getting the triple double, considering he could have dribbled out the game clock. No worries, of course -- I'm glad he tried it. Utah doesn't play Miami again until next season, and everyone's so focused on the Madness that Mitch Albom wouldn't get a chance to call it a disgrace on The Sports Reporters Sunday morning. In today's NBA, triple doubles have become boring. We need someone to break the trip-dub with 50 barrier ... even if winning briefly slips to No. 2 on the priority list.↵
