Jeff Teague Has No Respect For His Elders

It was Senior Night in College Park last night, which meant the Terps honored their lone four-year player Dave Neal. The Terps’ “big man” (he’s 6’7”, which is as big as they get on Maryland’s extremely undersized roster) is having the best season of his college career. He’s tripled his minutes, quadrupled his rebounds and points per game, and knocked Duke’s Nolan Smith silly simply by using basic physics. ↵

↵So, it was only fitting that on Senior Night, Neal would lead the Terps in scoring (19 points), including knocking down five of six threes. Oh, and there was also this little issue of being on the losing end of a man-sized posterization by Jeff Teague, who does not care if it’s Neal’s special little night: ↵

↵Maryland never recovered from that dunk and went on to lose a game they led most of the way. Now, they must beat UVA and win a game in the ACC Tourney to have any chance of earning a bid. If they don’t, they can look back at Teague’s slam as the moment it all went wrong. ↵
