Someone Get Ovechkin Some Vodka, ASAP

The Capitals are poised to break their franchise attendance record this season, due in small part to being the only winning attraction in town (Washingtonians can’t even fall back on the United anymore) and in large part to having the most exciting player in the league, Alexander Ovechkin. ↵
↵But in D.C., you aren’t big time until you’ve sung the Eastern Motors jingle, a rite of passage for any Washington area superstar. Of course, when you factor in English being Ovie’s second language and his genetic love of vodka, then his Eastern’s spot becomes slightly more humorous than the rest (via the D.C. Sports Bog): ↵

↵D.C. sports might not be great at this winning stuff of late, but they continue to show no shortage of charismatic, funny star athletes. And when you blog about sports for a living, that’s almost better than the former. Almost.↵
