Gilbert Gets In On The Gun Jokes

Over the past few days everyone's been trading their best, most hilarious gun jokes over this whole Gilbert brought 4 unlicensed guns to an NBA arena-thing.

It's been a robust industry, producing gems like "Maybe they should go back to the Bullets!" and "Arenas and Crittendon are the new Hamilton and Burr!" and "When Gilbert was teaching kids how to shoot, maybe we should have been a little worried!" Wa-wa-wa...

But Gil, never one to miss out on a good joke, got in on the act last night, imitating a scene from Any Given Sunday where (Steamin') Willie Beamin pretends to open fire on his teammates.

Afterward, he expressed a bit of regret on Twitter, saying "I know everybody seen the pre game pics..my teammate thought to break the tention we should do that..but this is gettn way to much." But rather than pile onto the chorus of critics chastising this move from Gil, I'd rather quote another line from Any Given Sunday that sums up his whole damn career.

"Yeah, you led ... But did anybody follow you?"
