2010 Bowl Projections: Oregon To BCS National Championship Game Or Rose Bowl

Not much happened to change the national college football landscape in Week 12, thanks largely to off weeks for Oregon, Auburn, and TCU. So the projection for Oregon isn't much different from last week's — or last month's.

If Oregon wins out, the Ducks will play in the BCS National Championship game, likely meeting Auburn for a chance at the school's first national title.

If Oregon loses once, to either Arizona or Oregon State, the Ducks will still win the Pac-10, and earn the conference's automatic BCS bid. That will put Oregon in Pasadena for the Rose Bowl for the second straight year, likely meeting Big Ten champion Wisconsin.

If Oregon loses twice, though, the Ducks will not win the Pac-10 title, and might be aced out of a BCS at-large berth. Stanford would go to the Rose Bowl, and while it's unlikely the Ducks would fall out of the top 14 in the BCS standings, becoming ineligible to be selected for a BCS at-large berth, the most logical landing spot for a two-loss Oregon team would be the Alamo or Holiday Bowl.
