Cory Sarich Wins Battle And War With Jason Chimera

The Calgary Flames weren't about to be humiliated twice in as many days, visiting the Washington Capitals after a 5-0 loss to the Boston Bruins the previous evening. They stormed out to a 3-0 lead on Sunday and defenseman Cory Sarich had his way with Jason Chimera in more than one form to guarantee that the momentum would not transfer.

Calgary held off Washington by a 5-3 scoreline and I can't speak for Chimera, but that has to be one of his worst shifts ever. Sarich was handed two minutes for the boarding but didn't hide from the repercussions like Matt Cooke some. Seeing as how the Mortal Kombat theme song was playing during the fight, we'll label that as a fatality.
