There's No Cheering In The Press Box Either

Count the altar as another place where cheering for your favorite team is frowned upon. At least that is the case in a village north of Amsterdam where a Dutch priest was suspended for showing a little too much team spirit.

During the World Cup final between Spain and Netherlands, priest Paul Vlaar wore an orange robe and decked out his church in orange.

The orange mass was popular among the parishioners and a video was posted to YouTube, but that did not sway the Bishop of Haarlem from giving Vlaar the boot.
