Tuesday night's affair between the Dodgers and Giants was a colorful one, even before the conclusion. After Andres Torres was hit by a pitch to lead off the game, Matt Kemp was hit by a pitch in the fifth, and Aaron Rowand was then hit by a pitch in the seventh. This third hit batsman was enough to get Clayton Kershaw and Joe Torre ejected, and it was also enough to get them suspended.
Clayton Kershaw suspended for five games; Torre and Schaefer suspended for one game each.
Dodgers bench coach Bob Schaefer was ejected from the game the previous inning, and all of them were ejected and suspended for their alleged roles in the beanballs.
Kershaw will appeal his suspension in hopes of getting the penalty reduced. As for the other two:
Torre is serving his suspension tonight; Schaefer is serving his suspension on Thursday.
