DJ Steve Porter achieved Internet mastery last year with "Press Hop," a AutoTune-heavy mix of memorable sports press conference freakouts set to a swirling beat. It was a clever and simple idea that was brilliantly executed and was celebrated with near ubiquity for a few weeks, which is practically an eternity in Internet fad time.
But one does not achieve such levels of online fame without trying to trade on the same formula for further gain, so Porter arranged to debut the follow-up on ESPN Sportsnation. Nothing wrong with that, of course. Go get that coin, DJ Steve Porter.↵
And so what are we to make of "Press Hop 2"? A few recurring figures are beginning to establish themselves in his oeuvre. Jim Mora and Herman Edwards figure prominently for some reason. Nevertheless, it's a worthy offering and manages to get some recent tidbits in there, including LeBron's decision, Ron Artest's NBA Finals shout-out and Tiger's apology.↵
