After earning the first break of the match in the eighth game and following it up with a hold, Serena Williams is now a set away from her fourth Wimbledon title.
Serena broke for a 5-3 lead with an extremely impressive passing shot on a running forehand. Even more impressively, she followed the shot with a relatively seamless transition into a fist-pumping pose on one knee.
Serena suffered a slight hiccup serving for the set at 5-3, hitting a double fault and unforced error to blow double set point. But she recovered well, and put the set away with big serves on the next two points.
