D'Brickashaw Ferguson's newest contract is a big one. Per ESPN's Adam Schefter:
Jets reached agreement with OT D'Brickashaw Ferguson on a six-year, $60 million extension that includes $34.8 million in gtd money.
Ferguson was reportedly looking for a contract in the same range as the five-year, $57 million one Jake Long signed as the No. 1 pick in the 2008 draft so it appears he did okay for himself because that's a big chunk of guaranteed dollars.
Ferguson had one year remaining on his current deal (with an option for a sixth) that was paying him $37.5 million over five years as the fourth overall pick in the 2006 draft.
